Yeah! Someone is associated with me. i also saw your several times and almost responded.
BTW- This thread has been really very fun and interesting. It's my first semi-half-way-quazi debate. BTW- I'm probably sillier than normal because it's so late.
This is a monumental moment in Onja's rise. Maybe soon I'll be nearly respected as you old people ;). </wishful thinking>
Normally I wouldn't be up now but I fell asleep early afternoon so now I'm fairly awake.

"The subject of this thread drew so much ire to herself because she supports Michael Schiavo and Felos and Greer in offing Terri. You do know that, right?"
Amazing.
One more time. (I'm going to have to get a link, lol)
Hildy has said she thinks Terri should go to her parents.
Are you going to apologize now? Or, is this the part where we have to buy into the whole conspiracy theory based on misinformation to avoid being called death lovers?

Me apologize?
Hardly.
She has even repeatedly called for giving Terry a lethal injection to murder her, which is one of the things that drew so many flames her way.
Are you going to apologize now?

Yep, sez me.
I base that on this:
Today;s South is saving the union from the democrats.
No blue throughout the South in '04 election.

" I wonder if she had left a note saying she would not want to be left this way would those who are pro Terri still find a way to get involved?"
You bet they would. I've asked some, and they've admitted it or tried to avoid the question. We all know many here would.
And that is where we part ways.
As for the feeding tube, be sure to see the replies to her post. (not her fault)

That Is BS.
Saying (rightly, I might add) that *if it is going to be done, it should be done humanely* is a far, far cry from saying you want it done!
Please tell me you are capable of understanding that distinction?
Then apologize! lol

I don't wish you on you anything that poor woman goes through on a minute by minute basis. How do you know what she goes through on a minute-by-minute basis? How could you possibly know, unless of course you use to be in her condition? I firmly believe that Terri wants to live and that she can get significantly better with therapy. If she didn't want to live I don't think she would have lasted this long.

The only reason I told you about my family is because of the non-stop holier than thou attitude of some people on this thread. Can you honestly tell me that you would want to lie there like Terri Schiavo, having strangers take care of your bodily functions, seeing your family when they have the time to come and see you, and that's assuming she even knows who they are, which I don't think she does. I DON'T THINK THAT IS COMPASSION. I think that is very cruel. And that's where we differ. Since you are a Christian, don't you believe that your spirit or soul goes on after you die? So why do you want to keep her soul imprisoned in a body that doesn't work, in a mind that doesn't work when she could be set free. That is a serious question. 71 posted on 02/25/2005 2:40:18 PM EST by Hildy I could give you many posts by her along these lines. Sounds like someone who thinks the 'kind' thing to do is kill her to me.
But you'll have to peruse her posts yourself. It's easy enough to do.
I MUST go to bed...lol...

This is no different than your interpreting her wish that
they would use an OD of morphine instead of starving her as a wish to kill her.
Again, this isn't as simple an issue as y'all want it to be.
I and others agree with her statement completely, and still think the tube should remain, for one reason or another. Just as many of us agree with this one:
Terri Schaivo - The End Game - Why Terri Schiavo Has to Die

For the last time, I have never said I wanted to see her dead. I think that if there is no written consent that she should be released to her parents and they should take care of her in their home with their own money. That is what I said. Would I want to live like that .... NO. I hope everyone takes this opportunity and puts their wishes on paper. But I don't think Michael Schiavo is the villain you all think he is. And I think he is doing what he thinks is the right thing and everybody is following the law.

That took me 30 seconds to find. Maybe before you judge and "punish" people, you should look a bit deeper and avoid reading more into things than what they're actually saying.

I'm just an ignorant little person who doesn't understand. - Twerp is more like it. Didn't you go running to the admin when someone called you a horse's ass on another thread? No personal attacks, BigSky Freeper. They aren't allowed.
I wonder, are you arguing because you genuinely take issue with Terri's supporters, or are you trying to cause as much aggravation as you can because you get a kick out of it? Because it's more than likely the latter. I haven't seen you contribute much. I've seen you post a lot of stupid things and then turn ignorant when such stupidity has been corrected.
You know, if I set out to antagonize people as much as I could, I'd do exactly what you're doing...make disingenuous, facetious comments and then pretend I was merely being disinterested and objective. Goad people into insulting me and then 'report abuse'.
You're a brilliant disruptor. You can tell that feelings on this issue run pretty high, and it amuses you to use them to wind them up. You probably justify it to yourself by thinking people shouldn't get so upset...whatever. You come across more as a spiteful little child than an adult human being.
