Yep, it was routine in the 60's and 70's, then started tappering off as drug testing and personal standards increased. Almost unheard of these days.

....But that's not what Rush chose to do. He chose instead to continue, for years, to do the wrong thing and then--after he was caught--blame the consequences on the vast, left-wing conspiracy. As Rush himself said very wisely and correctly when Jim Carville made the same argument defending President O.J., "It doesn't matter what Ken Starr's politics are if you're innocent."

The article was about Limbaugh, his drug use, and his apparent willingness to pay blackmail. Rush knew what he did was wrong. His apologists are willing to overlook his foibles, but continue to hammer away at anyone else.

I have been targeting the hypocricy of the WOD supporters, who now, are perfectly willing to give Rush a pass, but in the next breath condemn others.

No one should be in jail for drug use. PERIOD.

Being the company training officer also, I knew that my company, by their entrance scores (I think they were called ASFAB scores, not sure anymore) the marines in my specific company were morons. But it does not follow that all the marines were, just the morons in my company were dunb as rocks. Most of the navy enlisted in my company had higher scores than the marine officers.

I like Rush and his commentary. I have a realy bad low back pain myself. If I thought sticking a rusty, dirty, otherwise filthy nail in my spine would ease the pain I have, I'd do it in a second. Don't knock pain until you've had the pain. I use only perscription drugs because I don't want to end up in jail or paying a fine I can't afford. The rusty nail wouldn't be ilegal but I'd probably be accused of trying to commit suiside and have to go to jail anyway.
