1. Biden would consistently lie about the economy
2. Most Trump backers would laugh it off
3. Trump wouldn't have an effective strategy for rebutting it or even any strategy.
And finally
4. It would work.
As I posted here Biden is massively outraising Trump. Biden can run millions of dollars in commercials touting his incredibly good economy. Predictably a number of people thought campaign spending doesn't mean anything. In fact it's already working imo.
Biden is also helped by phony statistics. Trump can't do much about that.
Also the old rule of thumb that polls exaggerate the Democrat's strength doesn't seem to be true any more. Take 2022 for example.

These are fake stories designed to change public perception of Biden. Expect more of these.
Rallies are not enough. Trump needs lots of ads. Democrats will saturate all of the media platforms with propaganda. They have all the money they need.
Trump is ahead in all swing states. Biden is at 46 in NJ!
Like it or not, Biden also had a successful SOTU, --only because he didn't fall over or crap his pants.
The bar was set pretty low and he cleared it.
I have noticed the MSM carefully avoiding any stories or events that might reflect poorly on the old guy. And very little about Hunter’s legal woes or potential family corruption investigations.
Fraud denial.
Biden needs to coast and have a very soft sale that things would be worse under Trump. That actually is his best move.
It may or may not be a joke but look at today’s primary returns. The primaries are meaningless yet Biden is significantly gathering more votes than Trump. So far I have heard no specific plans for a Trump admin, save deporting the illegals. Anyone who thinks a Trump victory is inevitable needs to think harder.
If Biden comes out and says you won’t hear all this fraud talk, that’s a huge boon. It tired a lot of people. He has the incumbent edge for now.
The polls will swing back and forth and it’s way too early to tell anything.
That’s because they don’t need to worry about getting their slacker voters off the couch on Election Day any more - they can just fill out mail-in ballots for them.
He won't be allowed to debate Trump.
There will be some "softball" interviews at his beach house in Delaware where he'll be eating ice cream.
Ah yes the Hill made up that Biden is doing better in polls compared to the same polls a couple of months ago. If we checked those polls we’d see there’s been no change or Trump’s pulling further ahead. Got it.
The national popular vote means nothing. It will come down to 6 swing states.
All that really matters anymore is who can harvest the most ballots during election season and find the most “uncounted boxes” in the back of delivery vans. Campaigning is a joke now.
