Actor Verne Troyer, who was best known for playing Mini-Me in Austin Powers, has died aged 49, according to an official social media post. Troyer was born in 1969 in Sturgis, Michigan with achondroplasia, a genetic condition that kept him at 2 feet 8 inches (81 centimeter's) tall.

The Justice Department's inspector general has sent a criminal referral regarding former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe to the US attorney's office in Washington, according to a source familiar with the matter. The sister of Charleston church shooter Dylann Roof has been charged after deputies say she brought weapons to school on National Walkout Day. Michigan State Police report at least two individuals were shot and killed Friday morning at Central Michigan University. The city of Mt. Pleasant has locked down all city buildings.
