If two out of three adults are considered to be overweight in America, it is no surprise that losing weight tops New Year’s resolutions every year. Regardless of age, race, or gender, the battle of the bulge unites many of us. Heck, I even hired a personal trainer since I can’t get it together on my own. And while most of us will abandon our nutrition and exercise routines before January is over, there is a man whose dedication to health in 2015 could make all the difference in the 2016 elections. His name is Chris Christie, governor of New...

Reporting live on CNN, Wolf Blitzer accused Charlie Hebdo of occasionally going “over the line” in their satirical criticisms of current events. The comment came as Blitzer was detailing the Islamic terrorist attack against the Charlie Hebdo office, which resulted in the deaths of 10 staff members and two police officers. Blitzer categorically slammed the attacks and said there was no justification for it. However, in detailing what Charlie Hebdo is known for, he added that, at times, they went “over the line” in their commentary. The attack on the office happened today and is currently believed to have been...

Considering Joel Osteen's well-documented acceptance of just about anyone who believes almost anything, it should come as no surprise that the senior pastor of the mammoth Lakewood Church in Houston believes President Obama's assertion that he is a Christian—despite his numerous unbiblical beliefs, such as "there are many paths to the same place." Osteen's comments came in an interview with Wolf Blitzer of CNN Friday on his news program, The Situation Room. Osteen says he has been to prayer breakfasts and other events with Barack Obama and heard him express his faith, redemption and salvation. "I just believe in my...

Senate Intelligence Committee Chairwoman Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) defended the release of the CIA enhanced interrogation report in a testy exchange with CNN today, arguing that ISIS “may seize” upon the report, “they may not.” Feinstein pushed for the release of the report in the waning days of her chairmanship before handing over the gavel to Republicans in the 114th Congress. “Look, there is no perfect time to release this report,” she said when asked about the potential risk to American lives because of its publication, as the White House warned Monday. “This began 12 years ago. We have worked for...

CNN Wolf Blitzer: Why Don’t Cops “Shoot to Wound?” By Robert Farago on August 17, 2014 “On Thursday, CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer asked guest [lawyer] Jeffrey Toobin why police weren’t instructed to “shoot to injure,” instead of kill,” talkingpointsmemo.com reports. “Blitzer’s questions arose during a discussion on the unfurling conflict in Ferguson, Mo. over the fatal police shooting of unarmed teenager Michael Brown. ‘They often shoot to kill,’ Blitzer said of police. ‘Why do they have to shoot to kill? Why can’t they shoot a warning shot in the air, scare someone off if they think they’re in danger. Why...

An Israeli analyst told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer Friday morning that he received information from reliable sources that 3,000 Hamas elite soldiers told their families goodbye and appear ready to carry out suicide attacks on Israel. Middle East analyst Gershon Baskin said that all the fighters were equipped with suicide vests and that they had expected to die in terrorist attacks. Baskin spoke just hours after a Hamas suicide attack, believed to have been conducted by the group’s militant wing Ezzedine al-Qassam brigade, killed two Israeli soldiers. During the surprise Hamas attack, which happened two hours into the 72-hour agreement for...

You're just going to have to try harder, Wolf. Your performance as a Republican strategist attempting to provide "helpful" advice is still far from convincing. Wolf Blitzer took on the role of Republican strategist last Friday on CNN's Wolf by giving advice on which presidential candidate would be best for Republicans in 2016. You can read Wolf exchanging views with Gloria Borger on how to best help the Republicans succeed in the transcript below. The very idea that Wolf and Gloria want to be helpful is entirely laughable but it is fun to see them go through the motions. Of...

The FBI is probing past legal work done by Texas gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis, according to a report her Republican opponent’s campaign calls a “bombshell.” The Dallas Morning News reported Friday that documents “related to Sen. Wendy Davis’ work as a lawyer for the North Texas Tollway Authority are part of an FBI inquiry of the agency.” The news outlet said it’s unclear how much this investigation revolves around Davis, the Democratic nominee for governor.

For over a week in February, led by Wolf Blitzer, CNN devoted countless hours to boost Wendy Davis, the abortion extremist Democrat running to become governor of Texas. Using a guilt-by-association tactic, Blitzer and CNN relentlessly hurled fireballs at Davis's Republican opponent Greg Abbott for sharing a stage with right-wing rocker Ted Nugent, who had called President Obama a "subhuman mongrel" months before. A just-released polls shows that CNN turning itself into a full-bodied campaign outlet for Davis definitely failed to the move the ball for Davis, but might have even backfired. Abbott is currently surging past Davis by a...

Imagine if a former Republican presidential candidate and U.S. senator had called a current Republican president a delusional liar whose programs are wasteful. Would the mainstream media not be all over the story? Such a person would be interviewed at length by Wolf Blitzer on CNN as well as made the rounds of the morning talk shows and the Sunday news programs as well. The media buzz would be red hot on this topic for days extending into weeks. Well, there is such a person but because he is a Democrat saying these things about President Obama, we can expect...

Been watching coverage on CNN about the Malaysia Airlines matter and Wolf Blitzer is starting to sound as hysterical as Nancy Grace. Hypothesizing more than other network anchors and very repetitious. What gives? He's usually as cool as a cucumber... Anderson Cooper seems more calm and collected these days...

That the rest of the P5+1 group doesn’t want it put out there is the official story, but I doubt The Most Transparent Administration, Evah minds much — it can hardly hurt if the whole thing just happens to look a little more hardcore than it really is, eh? If Tehran is making out that the White House’s comments are meant for positive optics in the United States (read: This deal is super-duper tough, and there’s no need to push for any further economic sanctions), while the White House is making out that Tehran’s comments are meant for positive optics...

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT RUSH: Well, Bret Baier at Fox News tweeted that he's heard the same thing: Wealthy Republican donors are starting to give up on Chris Christie for 2016. F. Chuck Todd at NBC News has tweeted the same thing. "Some GOP Donors Think Christie's '2016 Hopes are Done.'" Today, Christie gave his inaugural address to commence his second term as governor of New Jersey. Among the things he said: "We must shun partisanship. We must take action on behalf of the people." CHRISTIE: We cannot fall victim to the attitude of Washington, DC, the attitude that says, "I am...

What did CNN’s Crossfire host Van Jones think when he read President Barack Obama’s latest quote about race in this week’s New Yorker profile by David Remnick? “I thought that actually was a pretty honest and accurate assessment.” “There’s no doubt that there’s some folks who just really dislike me because they don’t like the idea of a black President,” Obama told Remnick during one of their many interviews over the last few months. “Now, the flip side of it is there are some black folks and maybe some white folks who really like me and give me the benefit...

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) said Tuesday he would vote for a “clean CR” to end the government shutdown. “I’ll vote for a clean CR," Issa told CNN’s “The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer. “Republicans in the House have always been for a clean CR increase if it meant we began the serious negotiations on the kinds of reforms that need to happen…entitlements as a shortcut for it. That's what the deal is about right now.” Democrats have pressed Republicans to bring a continuing resolutio to the floor that funds the government and does nothing else for weeks. GOP leaders have...

Plenty of outrage coming from Twitter about this and other instances of media speculation in the wake of the multiple explosions in Boston today, and it's worth discussing separately from Allahpundit's excellent tracking post on the main story. Wolf Blitzer is covering the story for CNN at its headquarters, and he filled the time by speculating that today's Patriot Day holiday in Massachusetts might have something to do with the apparent bombing of the Boston Marathon:CLICK ABOVE LINK FOR THE VIDEO “One intriguing notion, one intriguing thought here, and I’m curious, Mike, and I’ll ask Matt to weigh in as...

Talk about a reality check: CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer told tea party Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) Thursday that he has to "deal with reality" in the Senate and "can't be overly idealistic." In one of his first interviews since being sworn into Congress earlier in the day, Cruz told CNN that he would not have voted in favor of the fiscal cliff compromise, calling it a "lousy deal." "Look, it wasn't a perfect deal. Nobody was thrilled by it, but you got a deal with what's doable in a divided Congress like we have," Blitzer told him. “The only reason...
