Just wondering if anyone has noticed that the Judicial Branch link is missing under the "Our Government" section of whitehouse.gov. I went to the wayback machine and pulled up Jan 20 (it's there) and compared it to Jan 21 (it's gone - it's still gone as of today). Jan 20: https://web.archive.org/web/20170120001000/https://www.whitehouse.gov/ Jan 21: https://web.archive.org/web/20170121000553/https://www.whitehouse.gov/ Thoughts?

Moscow’s annexation of Crimea was condemned worldwide, but some people in Alaska apparently are yearning for the days when they, too, were part of Mother Russia.

A petition on the White House website created by “S.V.” of Anchorage is calling on Alaskans and others to "vote" for Alaska to secede from the U.S. and become a part of Russia.

While this doesn’t rate on a scale of White House problems, it is nonetheless remarkable how rudely and inaccurately WhiteHouse.gov treats the 18th president, Ulysses S. Grant. Here is the assessment: When he was elected, the American people hoped for an end to turmoil. Grant provided neither vigor nor reform. Looking to Congress for direction, he seemed bewildered.

Whitehouse.gov Uses Taxpayer Dollars to Endorse Democratic Candidates, Touts Partisan Barackobama.com The President is, as the head of his party, certainly entitled to give campaign speeches on behalf of Democratic candidates such as Martha Coakley: an individual who advanced her career by keeping an innocent man (Amirault) in prison. We suspect, however, that he cannot legally use taxpayer money for this purpose. Whitehouse.gov, as the property of the United States Government, is the property of America's taxpayers. Several pages at this Web site endorse the election or re-election of Democratic candidates, and one recommends that people visit Organizing for America...

Close inspection of the image "properties" of photos of Obama included in the whitehouse.gov website reveal the word "hero" in their file path names. "Right click" the above photo, scroll to properties, drag the popup window corner right and view the file path names.. The word "hero" is fundamental to the file path. (example of filename path: www.whitehouse.gov/sites/default/files/imagecache/home_hero_rotator_main/hero_feature/hero_image/hero_greatwall_LJ-0160.jpg) Is this a bad case of EGO, or is the word "hero" some sort of file structure term I'm not aware of? Could it be possible Obama is the whitehouse.gov's webmaster? LOL

Ask a question or vote on one at the WhiteHouse.gov "Open for Questions" page. Let's rally around one or two questions and make them popular! Here's one question that's been asked already: "Do you think that one-party rule of the federal government is good or bad for the economy?" So far, most of the questions appear to be from those who adulate BO. Surprise! But let's see if we can crash the White House's Propaganda Party! — Mel Smith

  • Who is the first Impeached President? Johnson or Clinton?

reading a bit on the whitehouse.gov site concerning 'history' of past presidents. First I started reading what they had to say about Clinton. ... William Jefferson Clinton Interesting how 'cleaned up' it is, but I also noted that there were not a lot of accomplishments listed. What really caught my eye though was the statement that he was the 'second' president impeached by the house, and found not guilty by the senate. Well, this ain't exactly how I remember it .. so I then tried to find the 'first' impeached president, according to this website. Checking Nixon, no, they correctly...
