A Kansas State University student was killed Thursday night while in her hometown of Chicago. Briona White, 22, was found bleeding from several wounds about 7 p.m. in the south-side Roseland neighborhood, according to the Chicago Tribune. A man allegedly hit a nine-year-old girl on a bicycle with his truck, stole her bike and left the scene, according to troopers and the victim's mother. Zachary Armstrong, 18, is charged with hit and run, misdemeanor larceny and possession of stolen goods. He was placed in the Carteret County Jail under $20,000 bond. Troopers with the N.C. Geneticists at the University of Vermont have revealed links between eye color and alcohol dependency, suggesting it occurs more frequently among people with blue eyes and less frequently among those with dark brown eyes.
