I am a first time Freeper. My husband keeps telling me about all the postings he reads and how much he enjoys going to the site. I figured it was about time I checked it out for myself. I haven't done this before (and the moderators may not post this) but I've reached my limit. This past weekend our local newspaper had two columns from 'enlightened' national commentators, and one political cartoon, all saying that those of us with a professed faith who voted for George Bush were uninformed, unsophisticated lunatics. This was followed by still another column in the Sunday paper, by another columnist, saying virtually the same thing. Today on the internet there are still more references to the "analyses" of "experts", all saying that we are silly, not-to-be-taken seriously individuals. Well, here is some food...

Every morning I delight in listening to and watching a TV/Radio personality who knows and reviles Sen. Kerry. I am talking about Don Imus. What?......Imus supports who?? News to me. Bush is the man and the one who just may get 65 or 70% of voters to turn out.

Hi all, frequent lurker, first time poster. Does anyone care to make a prediction for how the popular vote will swing on Tuesday? Swing states are too hard to call. My prediction: Bush takes the popular vote by 4 points, 52 to 48. My fruitcake office mate claims Kerry will take it by 10, but he drinks heavily at lunch and his opinions don't carry much weight :-) Anyone else?
