A new art exhibit about the Michael Brown police shooting in Ferguson is on display in Chicago. The piece features a life-size portrayal of Michael Brown after he was killed last year in Ferguson. It also includes a black statue of liberty, and a noose dangling from a neon sign. The exhibit also features a plaque with the words “I Can’t Breath”; referencing the Eric Garner police involved death in New York. A Brown family member praises the exhibit. The artist is a white woman from New Orleans. She says it represents white privilege in America and how it...

As I watch the annual “Shark Week” and some of the competing “Shark Fest” on a rival channel… I’m struck that 90% of the shows involve just one species… the Great White… “Jaws”. Could this be discrimination to other sharks? Are we seeing an example of “Great White Privilege”? Can America in the PeeCee 21st Century tolerate the words “Great” and “White” in the same sentence? Calling Al Sharpton and Rachel Dolezal... we demand a change!

Professor’s Manifesto: Vegans Must Illegally Overthrow Society to Save the World by KATHERINE TIMPF July 9, 2015 A professor at the University of Texas at El Paso wrote a manifesto saying that animal-rights activists must rise up and commit “illegal raids” and “sabotage attacks” in order to save the world from a “mass extinction.” In a 2009 piece for the Animal Liberation Front titled “Manifesto for Radical Abolitionism: Total Liberation By Any Means Necessary,” associate professor of philosophy Steven Best says that groups like PETA are just not radical or progressive enough. After all, they work with corporations (boo!) “in...
  • Lindsey Graham Wants 10,000 Troops in Syria: Slammed Rand Paul & jabbed Ted Cruz in a hawkish speech

    US News & World Report's The Run 2016 ^ | July 8, 2015 | David Catanese
Calling Iraq and Syria a "single battle space," Sen. Lindsey Graham said he'd place around 10,000 troops in Syria today if he were president, in order to eradicate the heart of the Islamic State group's attempted caliphate. That call amounted to one of the most aggressive proposals by a 2016 presidential candidate regarding dealing with Syria, which has been engulfed in years of fighting between the government, rebels and Islamic militants. In remarks before The Atlantic Council on Wednesday, Graham, R-S.C., said half-measures like arming the Kurds to fight the Islamic State group were insufficient, and name-checked two of his...

. . . "he was at cloud level,' in a freaking lawn chair. Dude, come on. You do know that Up was a movie, right? An animated movie, dude. You can’t tie a hundred helium balloons together and use them to go flying. This is real life. It doesn’t work that way, dude. You’re not getting up in the air sitting in a lawn chair you bought for $20 at the corner store, and you’re not going flying, so just forget about this whole thing and . . . holy crap! And sure enough, up went 26-year-old Daniel Boria of...
  • Hot Dog Hillary

(CONEY ISLAND) Joey Chestnut’s world record shattering total of 66 hot dogs consumed in 12 minutes was overshadowed by Senator Hillary Clinton’s first time participation in today’s annual Coney Island hot dog eating contest. Mrs. Clinton, Democratic Presidential candidate, shoved down a respectable 54 hot dogs, or one for every Republican in the Senate. Although most fans were rooting for Chestnut or six-time champion Takeru Kobayashi, his Japanese rival, to win, Mrs. Clinton did have at least one fan, a woman carrying a sign that read, “If you become President, we’ll eat hot dogs every day.” Although the outcome of...

Imagine that, another phony hate crime. A Utah man who alleged assailants carved homophobic slurs into his arms, robbed his pizza restaurant and firebombed his house has admitted faking the attacks, authorities said. Now the question is whether Rick Jones, 22, of Delta will be prosecuted for reporting false crimes, Millard County Sheriff Robert Dekker told CNN affiliate KSL. “The investigation has come to an end today with the admission of Richard (Rick) L. Jones Jr. to having staged all of the incidents,” the Sheriff’s Office and County Attorney’s office said in a Tuesday statement. Dekker said he didn’t know...

It’s really weird to see one of the more masculine and patriarchal professional sports keep making politically correct steps to convince America that it isn’t masculine and patriarchal. I guess this year they’re gonna ramp it up with the first ever LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) celebration! And of course it had to be the Detroit Lions: The Detroit Lions are set to host what is believed to be the NFL’s first LGBT night, according to a report in the Detroit Free Press. The Detroit Regional LGBT Chamber of Commerce says it will hold a pride event during the Lions’...

In response to Friday’s ruling by the Supreme Court declaring same-sex marriage legal in all 50 states, Larry Wilmore promised a #BigGayMonday episode of “The Nightly Show” to celebrate. The episode, dubbed “Larry Wilmore’s 2015 YAAASSSS KWEEN YAAASSSS MARRIAGE-TRAVAGANZAAAAAAAA: A SLIPPERY SLOPE TO HAPPINAAAAAASS,” was opened by the New York City Gay Men’s Chorus performing a song called “It’s About [expletive] Time.” Declaring it “too momentous a day to spend a lot of time focusing on the haters,” Wilmore addressed some of the...

Suggested Bible Based Christian Church Gay Wedding Ceremony… We gather today under threat of legal prosecution and persecution… to unite Adam and Steve legally in a union they call “marriage” but in fact is a mockery of God’s most sacred sacrament. God created marriage, man did not... for one man and woman only. So though required by law… this union cannot be blessed by God. As a counsel to the participants, I ask them to accept as Savior our Lord Jesus Christ… and seek His ways and repent of this abomination forced upon this church. (vows now to be spoken...

In a vitriolic speech at the Metropolitan AME church in Washington D.C., Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan called white people “sinful by nature” and said that the cops who arrested the man who killed nine people at a black church in Charleston, S.C. last week were happy he did so. “White folks march with you because they don’t want you upsetting the city. They don’t give a damn about them nine,” Farrakhan said of the nine people murdered by white supremacist Dylann Roof at the historic Emanuel AME church last Wednesday. “When they arrested him they took him to...

The University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point has released a list of microaggressions it expects new faculty to read. The list can be found on the university's official website. The titled of the document is "Examples of Racial Microaggressions" and outlines types of "racist microaggressions," examples of them, and what they are "actually" saying. In the section "Color Blindness: Statements that indicate that a White person does not want to acknowledge race," the quote, "America is a melting pot" is said to be racist. According to the document, whites try to force others to "assimilate/acculturate to the dominant culture" when they say...

Since a lot of people talk about various personal health issues here for a number of reasons, I wanted to pass along two documentaries I watched recently and thought have good information for people to review. First, is one called "Fat Head". It is done by a science writer that basically refutes the "Supersize Me" documentary. It discusses how a high carb, low fat and protein diet is the cause of obesity in America, and it's exactly what the government and health groups are demanding people follow to "get healthy". It gives an excellent easy understanding of why this does...

Finding the proper home for this symbol of oppression isn’t as simple as politicians keep saying it is.In the aftermath of the shooting in Charleston, South Carolina, that claimed the lives of nine parishioners at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church, politicians from both sides of the aisle have called for the Confederate flag that flies on the grounds of the South Carolina state Capitol to come down. A common theme of these calls to lower the flag has been the suggestion that this symbol of America’s racist past belongs not on a flagpole on public land but in a...

A Monday piece in IO9 contained some revelations about the upcoming sequel to 1996’s “Independence Day,” which is entitled “Independence Day: Resurgence.” 20 years after the great alien invasion flattened many of Earth’s largest cities and killed untold millions of people, the world is still united in building up its defenses against a return engagement. These defenses apparently include a moon base.

Neil Peart, the drummer behind the band Rush, has made it known that, as a “bleeding-heart libertarian,” he encourages people to support Democrats. […] Rolling Stone notes that Peart's newfound beliefs appear to prioritize the “bleeding-heart” aspect over the “libertarian” one. Speaking of the libertarian-oriented Senator Rand Paul, a 2016 presidential candidate, Peart allegedly told Rolling Stone it is “very obvious” that Paul "hates women and brown people.” […] Peart, who recently became a United States citizen, told Rolling Stone, “For a person of my sensibility, you’re only left with the Democratic party.” …

Several special interest groups have come together to protest Father's Day as a day of discrimination, as it allegedly stacks the deck against those women who are unable to become fathers, as well against those men who have chosen not to. "It's like an annual poke in the eye," said one concerned citizen, who did not wish to be self-identified as a member of any particular orientation nor gender. Russia's investigative committee spokesman has demanded that an international investigation be launched into the US 1969 moon landings, after a US-led investigation into the world governing body Fifa, cast doubt over the fairness of choosing Russia to host the next World Cup. Nine Fifa officials were implicated in a US and Swiss investigation into the alleged corruption, with the scandal eventually leading to the organisation's president Sepp Blatter to announce his resignation. Russia and Qatar have both denied that their hosting rights are linked to any wrongdoing, however about a fortnight ago the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) confirmed...
