Bill Ayers is one strange guy. Ayers was one of the founders of the radical 1960's group the Weather Underground. His group was responsible for bombing the Pentagon, the U.S. Capitol and a New York police station as a way of protesting American involvement in the Vietnam War. He is also credited with launching the political career of President Barack Obama. They lived in the same neighborhood, their wives worked together, and Ayers hosted a fundraiser for a young Obama back in 1995. Ayers has long been unrepentant about his anti government activities during the 1960’s, despite the fact that...

Andrew Wilkow’s show on TheBlaze TV Monday took a break from analyzing the usual Washington dysfunction to put the spotlight on a news story that has been out of the headlines for some time, but not forgotten. Through the late 1960s to early 198os members of the far-left organization The Weather Underground bombed banks and various government buildings, led jailbreaks, incited riots, committed arson, and ultimately attempted an armored car robbery that left two policemen and a security guard dead. Formed in 1969 with the goal of toppling the U.S. government, some of the defunct organization’s members now hold positions...

In The Company You Keep, Robert Redford stars in as well as directs a story of an ex-Weather Underground radical who has been living quietly as a public-interest lawyer in upstate New York for more than 30 years. His true identity is discovered by an annoying reporter (Shia LaBeouf) after the apprehension of one of his co-conspirators (Susan Sarandon), who was one of four terrorists who robbed a bank and murdered several security guards in the process.Redford, that noted “liberal activist,” shows where his sympathies truly are. This is a movie that argues: 1. The Weathermen were fighting for peace....

While the notorious domestic terrorist group the Weather Underground was founded decades ago, its surviving members have gone on to become part of America’s “intelligentsia.” In fact, despite her conviction for murder, radical member Kathy Boudinhas even been appointed as adjunct professor at Columbia University’s School of Social Work. Boudin, who served 22 years in prison for her role in the 1981 Brinks truck robbery that claimed the lives of three people, has never shown remorse for her crimes and even allegedly lamented before students at New York University last month on how she wished her friends and fellow convicted...

Last week, I reminded you about the bloody history of convicted Weather Underground terrorists Kathy Boudin and David Gilbert, whom left-wing bleeding heart director Robert Redford pays homage to in his new fictional movie “The Company You Keep.” Boudin’s son, Chesa, was raised by America-bashing and flag-trashing Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn. As I told you, he won a prestigious Rhodes Scholarship, graduated from Yale, and is now a Yale Law School fellow. Mama Boudin was paroled in 2003, and now the NYPost reports that she is teaching at Columbia (h/t JWF):

Hyping "growing support" for same-sex marriage, CNN's Carol Costello asked a supporter of California's Proposition 8 on Monday if he was "on the wrong side of history" for legally defining marriage as between one man and one woman. Her tone fits right with Friday's CNN panel where a traditional marriage supporter was disgustingly marginalized as a segregationist and compared to a slave owner. Costello cited GOP strategist Karl Rove admitting that he could see a Republican presidential candidate publicly support same-sex marriage in 2016. She then asked Austin Nimocks of the Alliance Defense Fund, "Austin, you heard what Karl Rove...

An Albany Councilwoman who attended and spoke at an event last year that featured a veritable who’s-who of former domestic terrorists (bomb makers, convicted cop-killers), is now requesting funding for a “community based anti-violence program” according to the Times Union. As an esteemed member of the Common Council, Barbara Smith is requesting state funding for the anti-violence program known as SNUG. According to the Times Union report: A local delegation — including state Sen. Neil Breslin, Harris Oberlander, head of the Trinity Alliance, the nonprofit that runs the SNUG program; Common Councilwoman Barbara Smith; and Assistant Police Chief Brendan Cox...

The Association of Teacher Educators has recruited Chicago professor – and former domestic terrorist – William Ayers to speak at their the 2013 Annual Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia which will be held next month. William Ayers, a co-founder of the radical Weather Underground domestic terror group, was a key figure during the 2008 presidential campaign due to his Chicago ties to then-Senator Obama. ... no specific mention of Ayers’ controversial background, describing him as the “formerly Distinguished Professor of Education and Senior University Scholar at the University of Illinois at Chicago.” The online biography also lists several of Ayers’ books,...

When hacktivist Jeremy Hammond was arrested last week in Chicago as a part of a wide government investigation in the online group Anonymous, his mother, Rose Collins, called him a genius without any wisdom. “Again?” she asked when informed by the Chicago Tribune that her son had been arrested for hacking. “I love my son, but he is a genius with no brain. He has a 168 IQ, but he has no wisdom.” In an attempt to educate the world at-large about the dangers of Anonymous, Rose Collins reached out to Townhall Finance and spoke about Jeremy and Anonymous. She ended by asking a...

It’s the Fourth of July in Washington D.C.. Do you know where your President and First Lady are? That’s right! Enjoying themselves at the traditional picnic for military heroes and their families on the lawn of the Big White. Just one look at their faces and you can tell just how much they’re enjoying it too. ...Meanwhile, over at Bruno’s Homeland Security agency, we’ve finally discovered where to direct our anti-terrorist forces: at you... Americans who are “suspicious of centralized federal authority,” and “reverent of individual liberty” as “extreme right-wing” terrorists...

As a presidential candidate in 2008, Barack Obama disavowed any connection with former domestic terrorist Bill Ayers, the Weather Underground radical who was one of Obama's early backers and his colleague on the board of the Woods Fund in Chicago. We now have proof that Obama's association with Ayers continued even after Obama had been elected to represent Illinois in the U.S. Senate--in the form of a now-scrubbed blog post placing Obama at the home of Ayers and his wife, fellow radical Bernadine Dohrn, on July 4, 2005. Dr. Tom Perrin, Assistant Professor of English at Huntingdon College in Montgomery,...

Leroy Eldridge Cleaver(8/31/1935 to 5/1/1998) Remembering Eldridge Cleaver* By: Larry Walker, Jr. *"Right-wing conservatives and left-wing radicals here in the U.S. must be willing and able to sit down at the same table, look across the table at each other and see not an enemy, a target or a statistic, but a brother, a sister, a fellow American, another child of God. We must expand our hearts and enlarge our identity beyond ‘my people’ to include and embrace all of Creation." ~ Eldridge CleaverIn the late 1960’s, after leading a troubled youth, Leroy Eldridge Cleaver became a prominent member...

Civil rights activist Rev. Jesse Jackson defended Monday controversial Rev. Jeremiah Wright, saying that it was a “source of pain” to see him criticized in the media. “I know it’s a source of pain for me to see him used as an object of degradation and manipulated the way he’s been used the media as if he’s some sort of enemy of the state. It’s not fair and it’s not true,” said Jackson on MSNBC’s “Daily Rundown.” “It pains me to see him used as an object of degradation.” Jackson said that Wright had developed an influential ministry, one that...

The Justice Department has awarded a group headed by a domestic terrorist and one-time FBI fugitive with close ties to President Obama hundreds of thousands of dollars to reduce racial disparities in the juvenile justice system. This is a story you likely won’t see in the mainstream media, but a conservative political magazine exposed it this week. The Department of Justice (DOJ) has given $400,000 in grants to an organization ( W. Haywood Burns Institute) that blames disproportionately high criminal behavior among minority juvenile delinquents on discrimination. The San Francisco-based nonprofit describes itself as a leading organization in the...

Bill Ayers spoke at the University of Oregon last week on the subject of teaching and organizing for “social justice.” His speech was not free of the radical sentiments he is well-known for espousing (especially in the company of America’s youth). Case in point: he spoke of the end of America, a new world, and what our role ought to be in all of it. Almost as interesting as Ayers’ speech itself, perhaps, was how the leftist radical was introduced by the university students. One girl, who described herself as a doctoral student at the university, spoke of the privilege...

Bill Ayers and his wife Bernadine Dohrn paid an impromptu visit to Occupy Wall Street in New York City Friday, bestowing their advice to a gaggle of elated protesters. Ayers and Dohrn, former leaders of the violent leftist Weather Underground group, were greeted like rock stars at the camp. A reception, you’ll soon hear, they wouldn‘t want to give the nation’s military members. The couple passed along protesting and anti-military nuggets of wisdom to the youngsters who received it in good spirits. For example, the former confidants to President Obama made sure to mention that America is “a declining power”...

William Ayers, in a pep talk to an Occupy Wall Street gaggle, said he wakes up every morning thinking about how he's going to end capitalism -- though he acknowledged he goes to bed "every night disappointed." The co-founder of the radical, Vietnam-era Weather Underground was videotaped chatting up what was identified as an Occupy Union Square group this past week in New York City. In the tape, he told the crowd that he doesn't consider himself an optimist or a pessimist.
