A Russian military helicopter has been shot down by rebels in Syria killing all five people on board, it has been revealed. The aircraft, carrying three crew and two officers, crashed down in the Idlib province in north western Syria on its way home to a Russian airbase. Gruesome pictures have since emerged showing what is believed to be the body of a Russian pilot being dragged through the dirt and loaded on to a truck. It comes as mystery surrounded the discovery in the wreckage of an identification card showing a picture of a blonde woman. The image was...

I want to preface this letter by stating that I respect your son’s sacrifice for this great nation. By all accounts, he is a true hero that sacrificed himself in service to our country. For that I am thankful. As a veteran, I watched your comments at the Democratic National Convention with a mixture of sadness, and anger. The United States has a military comprised of volunteers.

When Russia dropped its bombshell announcement of a plan to bring “stabilization” and “assistance” to rebel-held Aleppo by emptying it of its inhabitants and its defenders, the U.S., the UN, and any number of countries working to end the war in Syria were taken aback. Gen. Sergei Shoigu, the Russian defense minister, announced that President Vladimir Putin had issued a decree ordering a “large scale humanitarian operation” in Aleppo, which has been under siege for three weeks. But there was no advance consultation on the decision to set up four corridors—three for civilians and one for armed combatants—to leave the...

Since arriving at the Democratic National Convention, Gregory McKelvey said, he's felt like the party has been trying to silence him. The Oregon State graduate supports Bernie Sanders, not the party's presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton. So do many of Oregon's delegates. McKelvey said tension over that difference of opinion hit new heights Wednesday when the arena cut the lights over the Oregon delegation as they chanted, "No More War," during former Defense Secretary Leon Panetta's speech.

Le Pen’s niece enrolls in the ARMY as she calls on France to ‘kill Islamism’ … Marion Le Pen has said she will enroll in the French army reserve Marion Le Pen announced on Twitter she would join the French Army reserve after a spate of Islamic State-inspired terror attacks in Europe. The 26-year-old also blasted the “ineffective” French army as the country reels from the murder of 84-year-old Father Jacques Hamel by two teenagers who said they were ISIS “soldiers”. –UK Express The horrible murder of Father Jacques Hamel in Rouen France by “ISIS soldiers” has further inflamed French...

In 2001, Arlis on FreeRepublic posted an article "Don't fight the last war" by Barry Rubin from the Jerusalem Post dated 28 Sep 2001. This is currently the only source for the article that I can find, and it's worth reviewing. Hillary Clinton in debate last year said that "We are not at war with Islam" but with radical terrorism. Unfortunately for her and for us, Islam is at war with us, and has been for 1400 years, with many pauses and hiatuses for regrouping, reconsidering, and re-arming. In the current nominating convention acclaiming her candidacy for President, there has...

Shortly after the latest terror attack on French soil by two ISIS "soldiers", President Francois Hollande, who was roundly disparaged 12 days ago for the country's lack of preparedness to the Nice truck terror attack which killed 84, vowed to wage war against the Islamic State "by every means". "We are confronted with a group, Daesh, which has declared war on us," Hollande said, using an alternative name for Isis. "We have to wage war, by every means, (but through) upholding the law, which is because we are a democracy."

The Western public doesn’t know it, but Washington and its European vassals are convincing Russia that they are preparing to attack. Eric Zuesse reports on a German newspaper leak of a Bundeswehr decision to declare Russia to be an enemy nation of Germany. According to a report issued on June 6th in German Economic News (Deutsche Wirtschafts Nachrichten, or DWN), the German government is preparing to go to war against Russia, and has in draft-form a Bundeswehr report declaring Russia to be an enemy nation. DWN says: “The Russian secret services have apparently thoroughly studied the paper.  In advance...

Quote from a WWII veteran overhearing someone say that `You can't bomb an ideology." "The hell you can't. Because we did it. These Muslims are no different than the Imperial Japanese. The Japs had their suicide bombers too. And we stopped them. What it takes is the resolve and will to use a level of brutality and violence that your generations can't stomach. And until you can, this shit won't stop. It took us on the beaches with bullets, clearing out caves with flame throwers, and men like LeMay burning down their cities killing people by the tens of thousands....

A Syrian rebel was caught on camera blowing up an army tank by sneaking up to it and throwing a hand grenade down its barrel. The military tank bursts into flames as the lone Free Syrian Army fighter runs towards the camera after the grenade can be heard clinking down the shaft. Throughout the video, those supporting the rebel can be heard shouting 'Allahu Akbar', meaning 'God is great'.

by Tyler Durden Jul 18, 2016 Howard Kunstler I was in the streets of Chicago in 1968 during the Democratic Convention. It was only a few months after Bobby Kennedy and Martin Luther King were shot to death. The “establishment,” as we called it back then, was all set to nominate Vice-president Hubert Humphrey who had started out in Washington as a Midwestern progressive firebrand but was now was broadly perceived by America’s hippie youth as a stooge and a sell-out to the evil forces running the Vietnam War. I wasn’t exactly a protester, more like a proto-journalist, there to...

In 1987, I had to go through chemotherapy for cancer. It led me to learn a lot about the disease. The cancer spreads. If you let a few cells go, eventually, they will get to a point where they invade the surrounding cells and the cycle goes on and on. What we're seeing in Radical Islamic Terror is that the cells are growing, they're malignant, they're deadly. We recently saw 84 souls stolen due to yet another monster who used a truck through a crowd. A few weeks earlier, 50 killed at a night club. Our feckless leadership over and...

Let me have your attention for a moment. So you're talking about what? You're talking about...whining about that microaggression you experienced, some frat boy who doesn't want to acknowledge your chosen gender identity, somebody who doesn't want to validate your experience as a differently-abled person of hue, some Christian who doesn't want to bake you a cake and so forth. Let's talk about something important. Are you liberals all here? All but one? Well, I'm going anyway. Let's talk about something important. (Sees a hipster in skinny jeans and a Che t-shirt)PUT THAT CRAFT BEER DOWN!Craft beerÂ’s for jihadi killers...

Donald Trump said that he would ask Congress for a declaration of war on terrorism. Thank God. As ISIS often takes credit for acts of terrorism in the United States and other countries, then let them take their fighters to the grave by the tens of thousands. I hope a Trump statement on fighting Terrorism will look something like this: I will fight the enemy until he has nothing left to fight with. I will fight the enemy until he has nothing left to fight for. I will fight the enemy until he has nothing left to live for. And...

In an astonishing and reckless attack on the US the Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said that the country considers itself at war with any nation that stands by the US-based Muslim cleric Fethullah Gulen. He said: "Any country that protects Fethullah Gulen will be an enemy to Turkey." Moderate cleric Gulen, who lives in Pennsylvania, has been a constant scapegoat for Erdogan who has accused him of trying to establish a “parallel state” to rival his own fiefdom. The statement by Mr Yildirim will be seen as a thinly veiled threat to America to give up Gulen, who lives...

There are those who still refuse to identify this war on Islamic terror, despite the increasing threats to the safety of the Western public. No matter how many times the Islamic State or Al Qaeda declares the nature of this war of conquest, nothing will convince these leftists that Western nations (and Israel) are engaged in a jihadist war. In fact, a lunatic former Manhattan prosecutor and longtime defense attorney, Scott Fenstermaker, stated of 9/11 that America “got what it deserved” because of past injustices.

“Terrorism is a threat that is weighing heavily on France,” Manuel Valls said. "We’re faced with a war that terrorism has brought against us. The goal of the terrorists is to make us scared. We won’t give in to the terrorist threat, we must stand together, united. France has been once again struck in our flesh. "Times have changed and we should learn to live with terrorism. We have to show solidarity and collective calm. France has been hit in its soul on the 14 July, our national day. “They wanted to attack the unity of the French nation. The...

Growing tensions between the ‘extreme Right and the Muslim world’ have pushed France to the ‘verge of a civil war’, the country’s most senior security chief has warned.Patrick Calvar, head of the General Directorate for Internal Security (DGSI) – France’s equivalent of MI5 – made his claim in the wake of last year’s terrorist attacks on Paris. A total of 147 people were murdered by terrorists in the capital during atrocities in January and November. Many of those responsible were French passport holders with North African backgrounds, leading to far-Right politicians calling for a massive clampdown on immigration. But Mr Calvar, 60, warned...

In a shockingly non-politically-correct outburst, Patrick Calvar, chief of the Directorate General of Internal Security, told members of the French parliamentary commission that thanks to the increasing frequency of sexual assaults by islamic migrants, "Extremism is growing everywhere... We are on the brink of civil war."
