Watched debate between Leah and Tammy for senator. Leah was amazing. Google it and you can listen for yourself. Can’t believe polls have Tammy up. Too bad most people who vote are so uninformed. Leah would make a much better senator.

Republican state Sen. Leah Vukmir trails Democratic U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin by just two points according to a Marquette University Law School poll released Wednesday. Baldwin leads Vukmir 49-47 percent among likely voters, but among registered voters, Baldwin is ahead by eight points. Vukmir defeated businessman Kevin Nicholson in the Republican primary election on Aug. 14. Before her victory, 66 percent of voters said they didn't know enough about her to have an opinion. That's down to 48 percent now. Among those registered voters who do have an opinion, 25 percent view Vukmir favorably, while 26 percent vie

MILWAUKEE — A new Marquette Law School Poll of Wisconsin voters finds a tight race for governor following last week’s statewide primary elections. Among likely voters (that is, those who say they are certain to vote), incumbent Republican Scott Walker receives 46 percent, Democrat Tony Evers receives 46 percent and Libertarian Phil Anderson 6 percent. Only 2 percent say they lack a preference or do not lean to a candidate. Among likely voters in the race for the Wisconsin U.S. Senate seat on the ballot in November, 49 percent support the incumbent, Democrat Tammy Baldwin, and 47 percent support Republican...

A bill that would give the Legislature power to write and approve Wisconsin's academic standards is unlikely to pass in its current form, the leader of the state Senate said Thursday as hundreds of teachers, school administrators and business leaders -- including Madison superintendent Jennifer Cheatham -- converged on the Capitol to oppose it. And the chairman of the Senate Education Committee, which held a hearing on the measure, told The Associated Press that at least five Republican senators told him they opposed the measure that would likely lead to the undoing of the Common Core standards adopted in 2010....

MILWAUKEE, WI –State Representative Leah Vukmir (R- Wauwatosa) issued the following statement on John Kerry's running mate's visit to Milwaukee. "John Kerry is ranked the Senate's most out of the mainstream member, but he came to Wisconsin a few weeks ago and said 'life begins at conception,' talked about his shot gun, and claimed to embrace 'conservative values.' He even explained his vote for the Northeast Dairy Compact by saying he was trying to help his Massachusetts constituents despite the fact that he proposed expanding the price controls to regions across the country. Wisconsinites aren't going to trust someone who...
