49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick may be the focus of an American political movement, but he has never been a voter, according to records obtained by The Sacramento Bee. The Bee reports that the Turlock native has not registered to vote anywhere in California since reaching the legal voting age in 2005. Nor did Kaepernick register in Nevada during his time as a college student in that state. [...] It had not previously been revealed that the quarterback skipped all elections, including the the 2008 and 2012 elections of the nation's first black president.

  • Question: If nation followed Nebraska/Maine rules on electoral votes, what is 2016 result?

maybe this analysis hasn't been done yet, but I am not as skilled as some others here. If every state followed the same rules as Nebraska and Maine, what would be the electoral college result this cycle? I was able to find some analysis from 2012, and IIRC, the result would have been a narrow victory for Romney. Any thoughts?

Even among Orthodox Jews, Clinton captured a majority of the votes, with 70 percent of Jews voting for Clinton compared to only 25 percent for Trump. The Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton captured an overwhelming 70 percent of the Jewish vote in the election, according to a comprehensive exit poll published Wednesday. It was identical to the percentage of the Jewish vote won by Barack Obama four years ago.
  • 500,000 People Sign Petition Asking Electoral College to Pick Clinton as President Instead of Trump

A petition on Change.org calling for the Electoral College to elect Hillary Clinton as President has earned over half of the signatures needed for it to be sent to the governing body. The petition, launched on Wednesday after Donald Trump was elected President, calls for the Electoral College to “ignore their states’ votes and cast their ballots for Secretary Clinton.” Although Trump won over the 270 necessary electoral votes to secure the Presidency, Clinton narrowly earned the nation’s popular vote. The Electoral College – which was first introduced in 1804 – is comprised of 538 electors. Each state’s number of...

Preliminary exit poll results show that while she won women by 12 points overall (Trump won men by the same margin, a historic gender gap),1 Clinton lost the votes of white women overall and struggled to win women voters without a college education in states that could have propelled her to victory.

Noncitizens, Voting Violations and U.S. Elections NOVEMBER 2016The United States sends election monitors around the world to help discourage fraudulent balloting. But, here at home, it has largely turned a blind eye to the possibility that fraudulent voting by noncitizens could influence the outcome of an election. Our voter registration system is susceptible to abuse by noncitizens. In addition, noncitizens and illegal aliens are counted when apportioning congressional districts and when allocating state electors under the Electoral College. This means noncitizens play a role in determining how many congressional representatives a state has and exert an indirect influence on presidential...

As the reality of President-elect Donald Trump settled in very early Wednesday morning, MSNBC’s Chris Hayes summed up an explanation common to many on the left: The Republican nominee pulled ahead thanks to old-fashioned American racism. But the attempt to make Trump’s victory about racism appears to be at odds with what actually happened on Election Day. Consider the following facts. Twenty-nine percent of Latinos voted for Trump, per exit polls. Remarkably, despite the near-ubiquitous narrative that Trump would have deep problems with this demographic given his comments and position on immigration, this was a higher percentage of those who...

As we always knew, California and American elections are filled with fraud and corruption. Thanks to a new poll, we now know that approximately 13% of illegal aliens vote. Since they are already criminals, stealing ID’s or using phony ID’s. lie to get welfare, steal jobs—why not vote as they to lose. Since they can not be deported or jailed, they have nothing to lose. Obama is protecting these law breakers. Could this be why real citizens don’t vote—the illegal aliens outvote them? Worse, in close elections illegal aliens can make the difference. Corruption? Look at the ballot box. In...

Freepers - take heart! There is way too much gloom and doom because the media has already decided that they know what is going to happen today. NO ONE KNOWS ANYTHING YET. If you remember in 2004, it was even worse than this! Everyone thought they knew Kerry had won. Betting markets had Bush at 3% by the afternoon and Kerry got smoked in the end. This is the hardest election of all for pollsters to try to predict because of closet Trump support. There is good reason to believe Trump is competitive in both Michigan and in Pennsylvania. But...
