Neocon and fake Republican Bill Kristol’s wife Susan donated to far-left Democrat gubernatorial candidate Ralph Northam this past August, a GotNews review of Virginia public donation records reveals. According to the Virginia Public Access Project, Susan S. Kristol of McLean, Virginia donated $200 to Northam for Governor on August 24th, 2017, her only donation to any candidate running in the state this year. Mrs. Kristol is listed as a non-wage earner, but apparently has enough cash lying around to bankroll left-wing candidates.

Perrone Robotics, a developer of autonomous car software, will invest $3.8 million to expand its research and development operation in Albemarle County to add to its test track and facilities. Virginia successfully competed against California, Michigan, and Pennsylvania for the project, which will create 127 new jobs over the next three years. “Entrepreneurial companies like Perrone Robotics are putting Virginia on the map for cutting-edge industry and the jobs that come with it,” said Governor McAuliffe, speaking at the event. “This expansion is a testament to Virginia’s stellar technology workforce and competitive business climate, particularly for high-tech companies in sectors...

    The Roanoke Times ^ | October 6, 2017 | Graham Moomaw, Richmond Times-Dispatch
Gov. Terry McAuliffe announced Friday that he’ll seek new gun-control legislation in Virginia in the aftermath of the mass shooting in Las Vegas, including bans on bump stock devices, high-capacity magazines and “military-style assault rifles.” McAuliffe, who will leave office early next year under Virginia’s term limit, has already pushed unsuccessfully for universal background checks and restoring the state’s scrapped one-handgun-a-month law, but the Republican-controlled General Assembly has routinely blocked new gun restrictions. The legislation McAuliffe called for Friday would also face steep odds, but the announcement might put Republican lawmakers on the defensive with all 100 seats in the...

WASHINGTON — Alexandria’s top prosecutor says police were legally justified in using deadly force against the man who opened fire on a congressional baseball practice in June, injuring House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, of Louisiana, and four other people. In a 41-page report released Friday, the commonwealth’s attorney for Alexandria, Bryan Porter, said police were justified in fatally shooting 66-year-old James T. Hogkinson who shot at Republican lawmakers practicing at a baseball field in the Del Ray neighborhood of Alexandria for an upcoming charity baseball game. This is a developing story. • Black Lives Matter Shut Down ACLU's Campus Free Speech Event Because 'Liberalism Is White Supremacy'

It was the last remark she was able to make before protesters drowned her out with cries of, "ACLU, you protect Hitler, too." They also chanted, "the oppressed are not impressed," "shame, shame, shame, shame," (an ode to the Faith Militant's treatment of Cersei Lannister in Game of Thrones, though why anyone would want to be associated with the religious fanatics in that particular conflict is beyond me), "blood on your hands," "the revolution will not uphold the Constitution," and, uh, "liberalism is white supremacy." This went on for nearly 20 minutes. Eventually, according to the campus's Flat Hat News,...

A Virginia school district says that a Bible verse engraved on bench memorializing a deceased student must be removed because it is not legal. Charlotte County School Superintendent Nancy Leonard said that the school board determined that the engraving on the bench was illegal because it violated the U.S. Constitution’s Establishment Clause, which states that the government cannot “establish” a state-sponsored religion. “We found that the memorial bench that we currently have is not legally compliant because of the Establishment Clause (in Constitution), because of the Bible verse,” Leonard told WAFF. The verse from Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do...

Virginia Senatorial candidate Corey Stewart wants to strip the National Football League of its lucrative anti-trust exemption over its response to players taking a knee during the National Anthem. *** Granted by Congress, the limited anti-trust exemption gives the NFL broad power to negotiate massive television deals as a single entity on behalf of all the teams. Mr. Stewart is hoping to unseat Sen. Tim Kaine, a Democrat, in the midterm elections, but first must wrap up the GOP nomination. *** “When these players take a knee during the National Anthem, they aren’t just disrespecting a flag or a song,...

Organizers for an art festival are seeking $90,000 to erect a 45-foot-tall sculpture of a naked woman on the National Mall as way to combat the objectification of female bodies. WTOP reports the Catharsis on the Mall organizers are trying to raise money to move the sculpture, known as R-Evolution, from San Francisco to Washington D.C. so it can be placed on the National Mall facing the White House, for all festival-goers and tourists to see. The fundraising page for the move, which has received almost $20,000 in three days (albeit only 22 percent of its goal), claims the R-Evolution sculpture can...

Former presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton is hitting the campaign trail again — this time to raise funds for Virginia Lieutenant Governor Ralph Northam. Northam, who is running for Governor of Virginia, faces a tight race against Republican candidate Ed Gillespie. Clinton took a break from her book tour to support the Democrat with a fundraiser next Wednesday. Given Clinton’s election loss, coupled with a recent poll from Rasmussen Reports that shows 61 percent of American voters believe the former secretary of state should retire from politics, it is perhaps something of a surprise to see Clinton once again pick up...

Opposition is beginning to build against a regional transportation group’s plan to study a second Potomac River crossing in Montgomery County. On Tuesday morning, Montgomery County Council President Roger Berliner introduced a resolution that would formally put the council in opposition to the National Capital Region Transportation Planning Board’s plan to study the feasibility of a bridge that would help connect Virginia Route 28 to the Intercounty Connector in the county. Supporters of the proposed bridge say the connecting route would help ease traffic on I-270 and the American Legion Bridge on the Beltway and provide better connectivity to Dulles...

In an April 20 (given the deep connections between the Brotherhood and the Nazi Party, the date may not have been an accident) story in the Jerusalem Post, the question was asked, Will Qatar abandon the Muslim Brotherhood? As they put it, Qatar is the only country who openly supports the Muslim Brotherhood. This followed the pressure exerted on Qatar to do just that from its three Gulf neighbors, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates. Saudi Arabia even threatened a blockade should Qatar not comply. Clearly the Brotherhood, and their revolutionary aims, had been recognized as a threat...

State to again become a battleground over gun policy Ralph Northam / Getty One of the nation's leading gun-control advocacy groups announced plans on Friday to spend upwards of $1 million in the upcoming Virginia gubernatorial and attorney general races even though a similar spending effort failed to flip control of the state senate in 2015. The Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund, a New York-based gun-control group founded in large part by Michael Bloomberg, is donating $450,000 to Democrat Ralph Northam in his race against Republican Ed Gillespie. They're spending another $250,000 on mailers supporting Northam. The gun-control group...

Motorists on Interstate 270 could start seeing lane closures next week as construction crews begin resurfacing and restriping a highway spur that leads to the Beltway. The work marks the beginning of a $100 million project to ease traffic backups on the roadway, according to state transportation officials. “This is the first step in a major project to break daily gridlock,” Maryland Transportation Secretary Pete K. Rahn said in a prepared statement. The initial phase of the effort involves surfacing improvements on the section of I-270 that connects with the outer loop of the Beltway. The project, which is expected...
