BERKELEY (CBS SF) – KPIX 5 reporter Anne Makovec captured the assault of a man wearing a suit and a “Make America Great Again” cap at the edge of the UC Berkeley campus late Thursday morning as tensions remained high in the wake of Wednesday night’s violent protests. The fight broke out at around 11:30 a.m. when the man wearing the suit and cap was walking near the intersection of Bancroft and Telegraph was attacked. The assailant stopped his vehicle, a white SUV, in the middle of the intersection and jumped the man....

A protest at UC Berkeley turned fiery and violent Wednesday night, shutting down a scheduled speech by right-wing provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos. The Breitbart News editor was set to deliver a speech inside a UC Berkeley campus building but hundreds of protesters began throwing fireworks and pulling down the metal barricades police set up to keep people from rushing into the building. Windows were smashed and fires were set outside the building as masked protesters stormed it, and at 6 p.m., one hour before his scheduled speech was to begin, police decided to evacuate Yiannopoulos for his own safety. The Berkeley...

Milo's event was cancelled, and he is off the property. They have toppled barricades, smashed windows, a big fire, and are cheering and burning American flags. They are setting off firecrackers and fireworks. A tree caught on fire. They are of course protesting Trump and chanting, "No KKK, No Fascist USA, No Trump!" They have signs that say "Resist!" and "This is War!" The police asked them to leave, but they are sticking around, and the crowd is growing. They are cheering because they stopped Milo.

For decades, the tough-on-crime movement has well served vote-pandering politicians (remember Jane Orie?), but hasn't reduced crime and imposes an ever-increasing burden on taxpayers. More specifically, the war on drugs is a dismal failure. Saying “drugs are a serious problem” is an understatement, because drug-related offenses aren't limited to possession and distribution. Many violent and property offenses are also drug-related — another understatement.

We're barely a week and a half into President Trump's administration, and the Left is in sheer panic mode. We've seen headlines blaring that Trump instituted a Muslim ban (he didn't). We've seen speculation that the Trump White House's failure to clearly inform the Department of Homeland Security how to implement his immigration executive order amounts to an attempted coup (nope). We've seen accusations that Trump will overthrow the judiciary, run roughshod over Congress and generally make a fascist nuisance of himself. This isn't good for the country.

At the time of the Roe v. Wade decision, I was a college student — an anti-war, mother-earth, feminist, hippie college student. That particular January I was taking a semester off, living in the D.C. area and volunteering at the feminist “underground newspaper” Off Our Backs. As you’d guess, I was strongly in favor of legalizing abortion. The bumper sticker on my car read, “Don’t labor under a misconception; legalize abortion.” The first issue of Off Our Backs after the Roe decision included one of my movie reviews, and also an essay by another member of the collective criticizing the...

Multiple videos that captured a large group of women brawling in a Florida neighborhood have led to criminal charges after they quickly went viral. The cellphone videos showed the group of women fighting near several homes in Leesburg around 4.30pm on Monday. Neighbors said the fight attracted a huge crowd just minutes after people began posting about it on social media. At least 50 people surrounded the group of girls as they threw punches, pulled each other's hair and tore at one another's clothes.

President Trump on Tuesday evening threatened to send government officials to the Windy City if the Democratic mayor and city police cannot turn around the city's rocketing homicide rate. "If Chicago doesn't fix the horrible "carnage" going on, 228 shootings in 2017 with 42 killings (up 24% from 2016), I will send in the Feds!" Trump tweeted around 9:30 p.m. EST Tuesday. Gun-related violence in Chicago is outpacing the same period in 2016, which was one of the most deadly years for the city in recent history. From Jan. 1 through Monday, 37 people were killed and 250 people were...

The only labels they deserve are: "rioters" , "thugs", and "criminals." See more related videos on http://newsheist.com

PITTSBURGH, PA – At approximately 6:45 a.m. Zone 5 Officers responded to a gas station on Baum Boulevard in East Liberty. Officers located a 30-year-old male victim who had been assaulted at his apartment in the 300 block of Amber Street by a known male actor. According to the investigation, the victim and actor were arguing about President Donald Trump. The argument turned physical and the actor bit the victim’s right ear off. The victim ran to a nearby gas station to seek help. Paramedics transported the victim to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in stable condition. Officers recovered the ear in...

Within a few hours of the shooting of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords in Arizona, there were attempts by the Left to pin the blame on the Tea Party. The suspect turned out to be a lunatic who was a big fan of the "Communist Manifesto" and "Mein Kampf." Not exactly a right-winger. Years ago, I began to sound the alarm about the upcoming Obama thugocracy, and we got a taste of it at the tea party events and town hall meetings in 2009. A few representatives from the Black Panthers were involved in a voter intimidation incident at a Philadelphia polling...

The homeland security apparatus appears to be preparing to prevent an attack by jihadis when the big threat to the ceremony is an attack by jerks The inauguration will be a learning experience for President Trump in more ways than one. To begin with, he’ll see first hand just how hard it will be to re–establish the rule of law in the United States and he will learn just how deep the “resistance” to his administration extends into government. My fear is Trump’s inauguration will either be an asymmetrical warfare defeat for security forces or a willing surrender. The homeland...

It’s time to remember that providence played a role in sending Trump to America’s rescue. But Donald Trump, whether he’s aware of it or not, walks in the footsteps of angels. The 60 odd Democratic members of the House of Representatives ‘boycotting’ Donald Trump’s Inauguration, are, like the paid protesters hinting at Friday’s violence on DC streets, having us on. The plain truth is that none of the 60 would be noticed whether there at the ceremony, or depriving America of their presence sitting it out at home or elsewhere.

As if yesterday’s Project Veritas video wasn’t enough to prove just how crazy the left is over the election of President-elect Donald Trump, James O’Keefe's organization has come out with the second part of their undercover series on the inner-workings of the organizations planning to disrupt Trump inauguration on Friday. O’Keefe begins his video by talking about a group known as DisruptJ20. J20 stands for Jan. 20, which is the date of the inauguration. It’s as if these yo-yos think that by shortening the date to J20, all of the non-hipsters won’t catch onto them. The video shows how these...
