I’m a white man, so you should listen to absolutely nothing I say, at least on matters of social justice. I have no standing. No way to relate. My color and gender nullify me, and it gets worse: I grew up in the suburbs. Dad made six figures. We had a backyard pool. From the 10th through 12th grades, I attended private school. So the only proper way for me to check my privilege is to realize that it blinds me to others’ struggles and should gag me during discussions about the right responses to them. But wait. I’m gay....

A black digital magazine featured a video showing black people explaining why they refused to celebrate the Fourth of July. The Root released “No Country for Me,” a video in which black Philadelphians list the issues they have with America’s founding and how that prevents them from celebrating the creation of the nation. “I’ve never identified with even being American, even though I’m born here,” Shani Akilah says at the video’s beginning. “At the inception of this country, it was based off of oppression and murder and colonization and rape. And so we are rotten at our core.”

Former national security adviser and UN ambassador Susan Rice refuses to go quietly into retirement, even though she remains one of the most controversial figures of the Obama Administration. Now, thanks to a glowing profile in New York Magazine, we know that despite Susan Rice’s very public shortcomings (whatever happened to that dastardly filmmaker who spurred violence across the Middle East, anyway?), she believes any criticism of her tenure is at least partly the result of racism and sexism.

Dear feminists, please take a long walk off a short pier That this combination of sentimental victimhood, postcolonial relativism, and utopian overreaching has caused feminism to suffer so profound a loss of moral and political imagination that it cannot speak against the brutalization of Islamic women is an incalculable loss to women and to men. The great contribution of Western feminism was to expand the definition of human dignity and freedom. ...Why shouldn’t feminists want to shout out their own profound discovery for the world to hear? Perhaps, finally, because to do so would be to acknowledge the freedom they...

Hillary Clinton blamed her 2016 presidential election loss on a variety of sources — including Russian hackers, the Democratic Party, former FBI Director James Comey, the media, social media and misogyny — in a lengthy interview Wednesday. Clinton struck a far more defiant tone in the appearance at Recode's Code Conference than she had during her previous post-election accounts. While Clinton briefly apologized for using a private email server for official emails while she was secretary of State, much of the interview saw Clinton listing the external factors she felt led to her loss. "I was the victim of a...

First the student government at Western Kentucky University (WKU) demanded that black students be given free tuition to make up for historical wrongs like slavery and segregation. Now the faculty government at the academic institution are implicitly supporting that demand by insisting the university create a fund to pay education expenses for black students and other “underrepresented groups,” The College Fix reports. The student government resolution insisted that reparations for historical racism be provided “in the form of full and free access for all black people.” Last week, the facility decided to “stand in solidarity” with the students and back...

A Muslim-American woman says she was unfairly singled out at a Kent credit union for wearing a hood, and that a supervisor threatened to call 911 if she didn't take it off. .....Sound Credit Union has posted on its Facebook page saying it did not handle the situation well, is apologizing, and will make sure it never happens again. It also stated, "It is clear our training needs to include more empathy and sensitivity to all cultures, because as a credit union, we believe in equal treatment of all people."

Tall tales of glorious victimhood You remember this guy, right? He got up and spoke at the Democratic National Convention, the Gold Star father of a dead U.S. Marine, blasting Donald Trump for daring to question the patriotism of Muslim Americans. Of course, Trump never questioned any such thing. He made the fairly obvious observation that most terrorists are Muslims, which is not even in the same universe with tarring the patriotism of Muslims in general - but never let it be said Democrats will pass up the chance to craft a totally dishonest narrative if they think it will...

Last week, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., was vaulted to high status among feminists. What did she do? Did she lay down in the street to protect the voting rights of women? Did she take a stand against sex trafficking and female exploitation? No. She knowingly and flagrantly broke a long-standing rule of the Senate. And for this, the left made her a hero. The rule that Warren broke was Section 2 of Rule 19, a century-old prohibition on senators from attributing conduct or motives “unworthy or unbecoming” to another senator. If applied, it requires the offending senator to “take his (or her) seat,” meaning...

....such partisan rhetorical overkill has come naturally to Lewis throughout his public life. He characteristically demanded the impeachment of George W. Bush for authorizing the National Security Agency to conduct wiretaps without a warrant. When Barack Obama did the same thing, Lewis didn’t even offer criticism. Here are some other famous but forgotten slurs from Lewis in recent years:

Church culture tends to be fixated on sexual purity year-round, but during Advent, I'm tempted to blame it on the Virgin Mary. After all, she set an impossibly high bar. Now the rest of us are stuck trying to be both a virgin and a mother at the same time. It does not seem to matter that this is biologically impossible. Can you at least try?

Deep antipathy to Hillary Clinton exists within the FBI, multiple bureau sources have told the Guardian, spurring a rapid series of leaks damaging to her campaign just days before the election. Current and former FBI officials, none of whom were willing or cleared to speak on the record, have described a chaotic internal climate that resulted from outrage over director James Comey’s July decision not to recommend an indictment over Clinton’s maintenance of a private email server on which classified information transited. “The FBI is Trumpland,” said one current agent. This atmosphere raises major questions about how Comey and the...

STAGE 1: INFILTRATIONMuslims begin moving to non-Muslim countries in increasing numbers and the beginning of cultural conflicts are visible, though often subtle. - First migration wave to non-Muslim “host” country. - Appeal for humanitarian tolerance from the host society. - Attempts to portray Islam as a peaceful & Muslims as victims of misunderstanding and racism (even though Islam is not a ‘race’). - High Muslim birth rate in host country increase Muslim population. - Mosques used to spread Islam and dislike of host country & culture. - Calls to criminalize “Islamophobia” as a hate crime. - Threatened legal action for...

] Colin Kaepernick is certainly an articulate young man. That was obvious from his interaction with the press in the locker room where he faced a phalanx of reporters asking him about his decision to sit through the national anthem to bring attention to the "oppression" of black men. Given that this is the first year he has sat through the national anthem he was asked how his position has evolved over the years. He answered: “It's something that I've seen, I've felt, wasn't quite sure how to deal with originally. And it is something that's evolved. It's something that...

What is touted by democrats as the be-all and end-all of equality – universal healthcare and special rights for so-called minority populations – is the institution of unequal treatment, the ultimate perversion of “all men are created equal.” No one By the time Hillary Clinton accepted the democrat nomination for President of the United States, the party’s concept of what constitutes a victim had finished undergoing some thorough redesign. It’s taken decades, but words like ‘race,’ ‘slavery,’ ‘privilege,’ ‘rights,’ ‘equity,’ ‘education’ and the most bandied about ‘healthcare,’ now have different application. As much as politics have always been integral to...

At the DNC, Michelle Obama put on her victimhood hat one more time and declared, “I wake up every morning in a house that was built by slaves.” It’s not a new line, but an ongoing mantra. Back in 2009, Michelle whined that, “Many slaves who couldn’t enter the building worked to create the building.”

The racial victimhood racket has taken off. Marcus Owens, a black 19-year-old University of Iowa student, posted a picture of his bruised face and chipped tooth, claiming he was violently attacked by a group of whites for no reason. The story went viral. Predictably, black students protested, demanding “justice” and an end to “racism.” They called out the University of Iowa (even though the incident occurred off campus). Law enforcement launched a major investigation. The media descended on Iowa City to get to the bottom of this awful “hate crime.” Everything unraveled when surveillance video of the altercation revealed the...

It’s a huge dilemma for progressives: on the one hand, it’s terribly patriarchal for a man to pay for a woman’s dinner. On the other hand, the gender pay gap of feminist mythology holds that women only make 77 cents for every dollar earned by a man. So isn’t the failure to pay just another contribution to structural sexism? Equipay, a new app for Android and the iPhone has a solution. Developed by San Francisco-based “comedian†Luna Malbroux, the app divides bills between dinner guests according to their race and gender. For example, black women, who allegedly make just 64...
