Regardless of the election results tonight (if we have them) it's time to repond to the elite media. Here are the names/phone nos. of the Investor Relations contacts at the respective entities. Call them and complain loudly about the ethics/integrity/et al of their media outlet. Check your own savings/investments. If you happen to own any of their stocks/bonds - sell them. Verify if any mutual funds you may hold have any stocks/bonds in these companies. If they do, sell the fund. Tell your friends, neighbors, reltives to do same. If you use AOL, cancel it. It's the only thing they...

Was listening to Bill O'Reilly's Radio Factor. He did a story on the left-leaning groups behind some of the "9/11 families". He then interviewed Matthew Continetti who wrote the article (http://www.weeklystandard.com/Content/Public/Articles/000/000/003/854qqwpu.asp) leading to O'Reilly's investigation. My point, if I ever get to it, is that on tonight's O'Reilly Factor there'll be a segment on which will include discussions of groups such as Peaceful Tomorrows, The Tides Foundation, etc.

There have been way too many vanities lately. The news forum is being overrun with them. We have been spending a lot of time moving them to the General Interest ("Chat") forum. With the increased volume we have seen with the war starting, we have been missing mail and other moderator duties, such as zots. So, here's some guidelines for vanities. Of course, there are exceptions to these guidelines. We have seen some great vanities.

There is still a lot of confusion about vanity posts. I know that it doesn't look like it at the moment, but this forum was intended to be a place for conservatives to have somewhat serious discussions regarding government corruption and abuse and to try to discover a way to make progress toward returning to the constitutionally limited government as established by our Founders. The original idea of this forum was that our participants would post newspaper articles or other published information, or transcripts of congressional speeches, or other government or political information and then we would discuss these items. The forum was not intended to be a chatroom or comedy central. Some chat and some comedy is acceptable, but it tends to get out of control. The easiest way to control it is to restrict vanity (non-sourced) posts. If you want to take the time to write and post an informed commentary piece or a first-hand report on some newsworthy event, please do. But the short comments and rants, etc, can just as easily be posted as a reply to an existing article as was intended by our original design.
