ISLAMABAD - Photographs acquired by Reuters and taken about an hour after the U.S. assault on Osama bin Laden’s compound in Abbottabad in Pakistan show three dead men lying in pools of blood, but no weapons. The photos, taken by a Pakistani security official who entered the compound after the early morning raid on Monday, show two men dressed in traditional Pakistani garb and one in a t-shirt, with blood streaming from their ears, noses and mouths. The official, who wished to remain anonymous, sold the pictures to Reuters. None of the men looked like bin Laden. U.S. President Barack...

BaghdadOn a cool December morning, Vice President Dick Cheney and U.S. ambassador to Iraq Zalmay Khalilzad waited for their distinguished guests on the sidewalk outside of the ambassador's residence in the heart of the fortified Green Zone in downtown Baghdad. As Khalilzad chattered in Cheney's ear, the vice president stood looking at the cloudless blue sky with his hands clasped behind his back, sporadically shuffling his right foot back and forth. They waited some more. An eager press corps-with cameras and microphones, pens and pads at the ready--waited to capture the handshake between Cheney...

A few items mentioned by John Kerry during the debates so concerned me that I felt compelled to write papers regarding them. This related his statements regarding Afghanistan and the construction of our military. These statements alarmed me as a veteran because they demonstrated an obvious misconstruction on the part of Senator Kerry regarding military operations and the organization of our forces - a dangerous factor in a candidate for our nations Commander-in-Chief. During the debates, when these statements were mentioned, I felt they received very little clarification from the main stream media. For anyone to make such statements, as...
