Former President Donald Trump has warned about the potential of "death and destruction" should he be charged as part of the Stormy Daniels hush money investigation. In a post on Truth Social, Trump denied any wrongdoing while hitting out at Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg amid strong indications that a potential historic arrest is forthcoming. Last weekend, Trump called on his supporters to protest his apparently upcoming arrest, which he claimed was due to take place on Tuesday, March 21. The arrest never occurred, but Democrats accused the former president of attempting to rile up his supporters to carry out...

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Officials say there will be no charges filed against the deputies who fatally shot Winston Smith in June atop a Minneapolis parking ramp. On Monday, the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office disseminated the review of the case by the Crow Wing County Attorney’s Office, which determined that the U.S. Marshal Task Force’s use of deadly force was lawful and “no criminal prosecution should be sought in this matter.” Last month, Crow Wing County Attorney Donald Ryan said he was reviewing the case because counties closer to the Twin Cities had conflicts. Ryan sent his findings to the Hennepin...

First Lady Melania Trump strutted in style on Monday alongside President Donald Trump as she departed the White House for New Hampshire to speak about America’s opioid crisis. Wearing a navy coat with a funnel-like collar by French luxury brand Chloé and breathtakingly rich Gianvito Rossi knee-high Italian leather boots, Mrs. Trump was easily the most fashionable woman in the room (not uncommon for her) during the event on opioids. Mrs. Trump chose big brown-shaded sunglasses to conceal her smokey eyes from the sunlight. The knee-high boots paired with long coats and dresses look that Mrs. Trump chose has been...

This pantry across the street from the JJ Peppers on the Northeast side of the corner of Lawrence and Sheridan in Uptown is one of about a dozen corners in Uptown widely suspected to be a flash point for drug dealing. Ironically enough, this meeting point for street dealers is only a block away from two of the anchors of Uptown, the Aragon Ballroom and the Green Mill. (the Green Mill once played host to the original gangster, Al Capone, who counted it among his favorite spots)

When their homes began to sink in Katrina's floodwaters, elders in the quarter here known as Uptown gathered their neighbors to seek refuge at the Samuel J. Green Charter School, the local toughs included. But when the thugs started vandalizing the place - wielding guns and breaking into vending machines - Vance Anthion put them out, literally tossing them into the fetid waters. Anthion stayed awake at night after that, protecting the inhabitants of the school from looters or worse. "They know me," he said. "If a man come up in here, we take care of him." In the week...

The Charlotte City Council potentially trashed a $24 million deal Tuesday night when it unanimously voted to rezone what was once the land of the Hornets. You know, the Charlotte Coliseum that sits out there on Tyvola Road like a giant white elephant the city spent in excess of $100 million to build. The property was supposed to be sold for $24 million, but now nobody’s sure what it will fetch. Last year, Crescent Resources – the development subsidiary of Duke Energy – stepped up to the plate and committed to buying the 154-acre parcel for $24 million as part...
