I know it's voting day and I won't watch this post as well as I usually do, but I have a Samsung Tablet 10.1 gt p7510 that I want to update the OS to at least 4.1. it has 4.01 on it now. I cannot download the Directv app to watch programs on it because you must have at least 4.1 to make it work. I've watched a dozen "rooting" video's on Youtube, some multiple times, but I don't speak Linux or Android. If someone could write a specific tutorial on what apps are needed and what they do and...

SACRAMENTO (AP) - Taxpayers face a price tag of at least $1 billion over the next seven years to fix the state's aging computer systems that run payroll, budgeting and purchasing functions, according to the state's technology chief. Consumers and businesses would also be asked to pay user fees to support new Web-based services such as renewing driver's licenses, obtaining business licenses or filing corporate documents. Meanwhile, the state will aggressively continue to consolidate its many computer processing facilities, call centers and other information systems to save money and improve services. The ideas are all part of a grand technology...

Army leaders have recommended canceling a multibillion-dollar helicopter program, citing an Army study that suggests the funds would be more effective improving other areas of the service's aviation program. Acting Army Secretary Les Brownlee today announced that he and the service's chief of staff, Gen. Peter Schoomaker, recommended canceling the 11-year-old Comanche helicopter program after a comprehensive review of Army aviation technology and structure. The roughly $14 billion allocated to the program between now and 2011 will go toward other aviation programs, he said. The study "reflects lessons learned and experiences gained in the recent 2½ years of combat in...
