University of Florida (UF) Board of Trustees will meet with prospective university president Ben Sasse tomorrow. The trustees are expected to vote on Sasse’s candidacy following the 10:00 AM interview. If approved, Sasse, who currently serves in the United States Senate (NE-R), would become the 13th president of the Gainesville school. Sasse’s potential appointment struck a nerve on campus as left-wing students opposed his candidacy. After students protested outside of his Q&A forum earlier this month, UF announced it would enforce a ban on indoor protests. Students, however, are still intent on making their grievances known. The remains of dozens of child sacrifice victims have been unearthed in Peru, and many more are likely waiting to be found, archaeologists say. The skeletons show evidence that the children's hearts were removed, said Gabriel Prieto, an assistant professor of anthropology at the University of Florida who directs the excavations at Pampa La Cruz, the site near Huanchaco where the remains were found. All 76 skeletons had a "transversal clean cut across the sternum," Prieto said, which suggests that "they possibly opened up the rib cage and then they possibly extracted the heart."

Students from the University of Florida say education about the 9/11 attacks 'should avoid placing blame' and called for a stop to perpetuating ideas of 'American exceptionalism' in the latest example of woke ideas run amok on college campuses. The student body president of the University of Florida is facing impeachment calls for alleged misuse of funds to bring Donald Trump Jr. and presidential campaign adviser Kimberly Guilfoyle to campus last month, according to reports. Michael C. Murphy received a formal impeachment resolution on Tuesday for allegedly conspiring with a Trump campaign consultant to bring Trump Jr. and Guilfoyle to the Gainesville campus on Oct. 10, the Tampa Bay Times reports. University of Florida’s Young Americans for Freedom chapter settled in court earlier this week, after suing their university for speech censorship and funding bias. The student group alleges the university imposed criteria that disproportionately impacted those looking to bring conservative speakers to campus.The crux of the suit revolved around money collected from mandatory student fees, which are dispersed to student groups via the student government. It hasn’t been a great summer for football players from Florida. A current linebacker for the Gators is the latest to find himself on the wrong side of the law. His crime? Barking at a police dog.
