House Foreign Affairs Committee Chair Michael McCaul (R-Texas) said on Sunday that Republicans have no choice but to back the short-term funding proposal. In an interview on CBS News’s “Face the Nation,” McCaul stressed the importance of passing aid for our foreign allies, which will not be feasible if the government shuts down. “We’re gonna have to. WASHINGTON – The Obama administration on Monday set up a new task force to wrangle California water decisions, with long-term hopes of consolidating protections for smelt and salmon. The new task force eventually envisions one unified environmental management plan assisting the fish species dependent upon the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. There are times I am so frustrated I want to scream. Such was the case this past week. I was in a gathering of around 20 well-educated and informed conservatives.
