Gag Order: In 2015 Americans with consciences not named Chelsea Clinton were shocked to their core when an undercover journalism operation began releasing a series of videos showing Planned Parenthood officials negotiating for the sale of aborted baby parts. That journalist, David Daleiden — founder of the Center for Medical Progress — has since been silenced by federal courts and his operation attacked as savaged by the Left and its sycophantic propaganda machine, the establishment press. The California Legislature passed a controversial bill Wednesday which creates a new crime by criminalizing the distribution of secret recordings of confidential communication with a health care provider. The bill defines confidential communication as “any communication carried on in circumstances that reasonably indicate that any party to the communication desires it to be confined to the parties thereto.” It is already illegal in California to make recordings without the consent of all parties. Idaho's so-called "ag-gag" law, which outlawed undercover investigations of farming operations, is no more. A judge in the federal District Court for Idaho decided Monday that it was unconstitutional, citing First Amendment protections for free speech. "Ag-gag" refers to a variety of laws meant to curb undercover investigations of agricultural operations, often large dairy, poultry and pork farms. The Idaho law criminalized video or audio recording of a farm without the owner's consent and lying to a farm owner to gain employment there to do an undercover investigation.
