Syracuse, N.Y. -- The union representing New York State Police say they believe the state's stricter gun laws could put law enforcement officers at risk. In an email release on Monday, the New York State Troopers PBA said its 6,000-member group "holds widely shared concerns" about the NY Safe Act. MANCHESTER, N.H. -- Some experts said a Republican presidential candidate might be violating campaign finance laws with the TV ads he's running in New Hampshire. U.S. Rep. Duncan Hunter of California is running ads that feature him walking near the U.S.-Mexico border. Hunter's Peace Through Strength political action committee has paid more than $17,000 for the ads, which call for the border fence to be extended. The ad asks viewers to visit the political action committee's Web site. The PAC's Web site then asks visitors to visit Hunter's campaign site.
