GREENSBORO — Five protestors attending an anti-Bush rally in Greensboro on Tuesday night assaulted a plain-clothes officer trying to take their picture, according to police. Greensboro police described the following version of events, according to a press release: As officers monitored a group of 130 protestors on Elm Street, a small portion of that crowd moved away, proceeding east on Lewis Street. When I spoke at Phyllis Schlafly’s recent 80th birthday celebration in Washington, DC, I told the audience about the time that UNC-Greensboro (UNCG) hired a porn star to give a lecture on sexual health. The University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) is being criticized not only for funding a porn star to promote risky sexual behavior on campus, but also for suppressing the free speech of conservatives on campus. Recently the College Republicans group at UNCG was denied university funding for a "Morals Week" it was planning to coincide with UNCG's "Gay Pride Week."
