Soon, the 57-year-old Roswell resident said, they could be homeless. **SNIP** The woman, who doesn’t speak English fluently, is from Mexico. She requested anonymity because she lacks legal status to be in this country. Since losing her job during the pandemic, she’s gotten financial help from a church and a grant from the Latin American Association of Atlanta (LAA), but the aid hasn’t been nearly enough to cover all the rent her family owes....

A few days ago our state police were chasing a speeding vehicle suspect of possibly dealing in drugs. The driver and his passenger exited the highway and crashed. One suspect was immediately caught the other is still on the run. While searching for the suspect the police entered a home where they believed the suspect to be. No one was home and the suspect was not there. Do the police have the right to enter the home without a warrant and search the home?

Congress may not be able to reform the immigration system, fix the broken tax code or even pass a budget. But it’s telling the Library of Congress how to label immigrants living in the country illegally. That’s how conservative Republicans are responding to a move by the library to drop the term “illegal alien” in favor of “noncitizens” or “unauthorized immigration” for cataloging and search purposes. The move came in response to a petition from the American Library Association to change immigration-related search terms to make them less judgmental. The library’s move, announced in a three-page statement last month, was...

Mary McCarthy is a new name on the public's radar screen, although she's apparently been known to some members of the mainstream media (MSM) for quite some time. Well, what has this woman wrought? To any discerning mind, her actions -- unauthorized disclosures of classified information -- are treasonous in nature. According to news reports, CIA officer Mary McCarthy provided classified information to the Washington Post and other news organizations regarding the transfer of terror suspects to overseas prisons for questioning, a practice often referred to as "rendition". The implication is that these suspects would be subjected to rougher treatment...

Israel's acting prime minister, MK Ehud Olmert, has declared war, not against Hamas or the Islamic Jihad, but against unauthorized Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria. Olmert, at a meeting Wednesday afternoon with security officials, ordered the IDF to draw up clear plans to prevent the creation of new outposts and to destroy existing ones. Nearly every community in Judea and Samaria started as or engaged in building projects that were unauthorized at some stage. Israel's ambiguous policies with regard to the future of Judea and Samaria have been blamed for this trend, as various government coalition members and heads...
