The self-proclaimed "Never Again Trumper" Paul Ryan once praised President Donald J. Trump on CNBC's "Squawk Box," April 17, 2018 -- chatting with Joe Kernen. This is a dramatically different face than what Breitbart recently reported about Ryan, on the same Squawk Box program, with some very harsh things to say about the former president (chatting with Joe Kernan). Here is the Breitbart account of those mean-spirited comments:Ryan said, “It is a disaster if we nominate Trump. You know I think that. I have been saying that for a long time. But Liz [Cheney]is right, which is, that he could...

Biden nominee for Justice Department owns up to $1 million in auto parts manufacturer President Joe Biden's nominee for a top Justice Department post is a longtime advocate for raising the minimum wage to $15, but she owns up to $1 million in stock in a company chaired by her father that pays its Mexican workforce as little as $1.30 an hour. Vanita Gupta—whose net worth of between $42 and $187 million makes her the Biden administration's wealthiest nominee—owns at least $500,000 in Aptiv PLC, an international auto parts manufacturer chaired by her father. In contrast with Gupta's advocacy for...

The very day in January 2017 that then-FBI Director James Comey signed a FISA surveillance warrant application declaring content from Christopher Steele's dossier had been "verified," he wrote President Obama's outgoing intelligence community chief with a very different assessment of the British spy's intelligence on Russia collusion, a newly released memo shows. "We are not able to sufficiently corroborate the reporting," Comey wrote in a Jan. 12, 2017 email to then-Director of National Intelligence James Clapper that was declassified and made public through an open records lawsuit by the Southeastern Legal Foundation. The memo recounts an internal debate inside the...

Last spring, after the governor all but declared war on union leaders and other Democratic interests, Republicans sat and watched as the unions led an offensive that helped drag down the governor's poll ratings, and doom his special election agenda. Under the watch of new campaign manager Steve Schmidt and communications director Katie Levinson, both fresh off the plane from the Bush White House, Team Schwarzenegger is determined not to make the same mistake again. "For California Republicans who were frustrated last year by the lack of an aggressive response out of the governor's operation, they'll be very pleasantly surprised...

Canada’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Chrystia Freeland, refrained on Wednesday from supporting U.S. President Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of the State of Israel, but also did not harshly criticize the move as other countries had done. “Canada is a steadfast ally and friend of Israel and friend to the Palestinian people. Canada’s longstanding position is that the status of Jerusalem can be resolved only as part of a general settlement of the Palestinian-Israeli dispute,” she said in a statement. “We are strongly committed to the goal of a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in the Middle East,...

This isn't the first time they've played both sides of an issue. Bill and Hillary Clinton are the first couple to appear simultaneously and independently on the national political stage. They are using their special circumstances as a convenient shield for one another, fulfilling, at once, Hillary’s dream of no accountability and Bill’s of being able to take both sides of an issue. Did Hillary know that Bill was pardoning the FALN terrorists to help her win Puerto Rican votes in New York? Oh, she was opposed to the pardon. Did Hillary find out that Bill was granting pardons to...

Original point: The answer to this question is critical to understanding whether the Administration's foreign policy is undergoing a shift, brought on by our experience in Iraq that views our allies and the international community as partners in the War on Terror. For a failure to learn the lessons from our policy failure in Iraq will be disastrous in the War on Terror. So, this morning, I'd like to talk about the dangers of pursuing a policy of unilateralism and the need for allies in every aspect of our security. Critical to fighting this new 21st century war is a...

Democrats, hit reset. Accept the fact that the race has changed utterly, that you're up against a ticket that has captured the public imagination. Now you must go out and recapture it. Out of the shirtsleeves, into the suit. Stop prowling the stage with what looks like Phil Donahue's old mic. No more scattered, listless riffs; back to the podium and the prepared—and focused—speech. Campaign as a duo, Obama-Biden, together again. Obama alone looks like he's part of nothing. You must aim your fire at the top of the ticket, John McCain, and not at this beautiful girl, Sarah Palin,...

RURAL RETREAT, Virginia — A calf with two faces, born last week at a farm here, has been drawing a crowd. The calf breathes out of two noses and has two tongues, which move independently, according to farmer Kirk Heldreth. There appears to be a single socket containing two eyes. There are two lower jaws, but only one mouth. "It's the craziest thing I've ever seen," Heldreth said. During the calf's birth Dec. 27, Heldreth said he first thought there were two calves. The calf was the product of artificial insemination, meant for superior breeding. "Genetically, this is one of...

RICHMOND -- Stephen Murmer is known to his students as a popular art teacher who is always quick to crack a joke. But another side to Mr. Murmer has agitated school officials and resulted in his suspension. A side that focuses, almost entirely, on his backside. Outside of class and under an alter ego, the self-proclaimed "butt-printing artist" creates floral and abstract art by plastering his posterior with paint and pressing it against canvas. His creations sell for up to $900. This has not gone over well with Chesterfield County school officials, who placed Mr. Murmer on administrative leave Friday...

Two American soldiers, missing since an insurgent ambush at the checkpoint they were manning last Friday, were found dead Monday night on a street just south of Baghdad. An Iraqi General confirmed to the Associated Press that the soldiers’ bodies showed “signs of torture,” and that the men appeared to have been killed in a particularly “barbaric” way. This assertion appears to be backed up both by the fact that DNA tests were required to positively identify the remains, and by the claim of responsibility made by the self-titled new leader of Al-Qaeda in Iraq, who posted on an Islamist...

Our cousins in Great Britain, from whom we inherited a language, a political culture and, most specifically, the principle of freedom of speech, are going off the deep end, to judge from the jailing of Edward Atkinson. Here's the background. Last year, the U.K. was rocked by a high-profile abortion case. This was because the demise of "Baby A," as she became known, was photographed and videotaped. This evidence of her brutal end was widely distributed in the U.K. The abortion took place at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Kings Lynn, Norfolk, not far from where Mr. Atkinson lives. This...

NEW YORK, July 14, 2005 (LifeSiteNews.com) - At most times, according to the international news service Reuters, and a Democrat Congresswoman, they are "products of conception" or "fetal tissue" that can be disposed of at a whim. But when an environmental issue is involved, they are transformed into "unborn babies," and "babies who have not yet lived outside the womb." Reuters is a steadfast promoter of abortion and is particularly adept at following the abortion lobby's tactics of linguistic manipulation. But today's story of a report showing environmental toxins in umbilical cord blood starts with the news that "unborn babies...
