“Hi everyone, I just want to take a few moments to say thanks to the – believe it or not – hundreds of thousands of people who have sent in tweets, texts, emails, cards and letters wishing me well following my recent health announcement. I’ve heard from former contestants – even Watson, the IBM computer, sent me a get-well card. Now obviously, I won’t be able to respond to all of you individually, but I do want you to know that I do read everything I receive. And I am thankful for the kind words, the prayers and the advice...

“Jeopardy!” host Alex Trebek was slammed by social media users Tuesday after he asked a contestant if her job as an Army Master Sergeant was hard because she was a woman. Trebek made the comment while asking the show’s three contestants basic questions about their lives to introduce the audience to the participants. Lisa Beth Davis, a retired Army Master Sergeant, took Trebek’s question in stride. Trebek asked the woman: “That must be really tough for a woman because a master sergeant is giving orders most of the time. How was it for you?”

Does Alex Trebek owe Republicans equal time on his Jeopardy! game show? Answer: Yes, the show has become overrun by Democratic politicians and is only going to get even more politically imbalanced in the days to come. Last week and this week, the popular game show, in which contestants are given clues and must provide the answer in the form of a question, has been presenting its annual "Teen Tournament" shows with young Americans as contestants -- and First Lady Michelle Obama presenting some of the clues. The show is being broadcast from Washington DC during the Teen Tournament. On...

Lucinda Moyers, 56, who last week was arrested on charges of felony burglary and receiving stolen property after Mr. Trebek pursued her from his room, has two previous burglary convictions on her record, a district attorney’s spokeswoman told The San Francisco Chronicle. Ms. Moyers herself told The Chronicle that the two convictions stem from incidents at San Francisco hotels in 1990 and 1991, and that she would now be charged under California’s...

As has been documented repeatedly, celebrities just don't find much material for humor with Barack Obama. He's just so thoughtful, so articulate, so bright, so. . . Fill in the blank, as long as it's sufficiently worshipful. With former President George W. Bush, it's just the opposite. Show biz types can't get enough of poking fun at him. This is true even at the National Geographic Bee. Yes, the National Geographic Bee. The Associated Press's story "Trebek Makes Bush Joke as Texas Teen Wins Geography Bee" details the latest:

Anyone been watching Jeopardy! recently? The current champion, Larissa Kelly, has won 5 games in a row with a total of $179,797 (averaging almost $36,000 a game). Will she be the next Ken Jennings? Her 5-day total is a new Jeopardy! record for most cash won in a contestant's first 5 games (although it is not a record when adjusted for the increase in clue values). For comparison, Ken won $156,000 in his first 5 games.

Though I'm not much for posting baby blue humor, I thought it should be posted here for the record, before it passes into the realm of "assumed legend." I'm surprised it hasn't popped up on Drudge Report this morning (seriously). It's like one of those things you hear that supposedly happened on Johnny Carson or the Newlywed Game but really didn't. But this one really did, and it aired last night. I don't know how it got through the show's post production. It happened during the little "small talk" segment when Trebek chats with the contestants. The female contestant...
