On Thursday, Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) let slip what most Democrats have been thinking for decades: Constitutional rights are problematic. Manchin told Morning Joe, “The problem we have, and really the firewall we have right now is due process. It’s all due process. So we can all say we want the same thing, but how do we get there?” That dang due process. That silly Second Amendment. This Constitution thing keeps getting in the way of Democratic priorities. I’m old enough to remember when Democrats protested the PATRIOT Act by claiming that it violated citizens’ rights. Now they want to...

New program goes beyond children, allows uncles, aunts, grandparents to applyThe Obama administration on Tuesday invited thousands of new Central Americans to apply for refugee status in the U.S., creating a new path to bring not only the vulnerable children fleeing the region, but also their parents, adult siblings and even aunts, uncles, grandparents or others “related” to the kids. Officials said they have no guess as to how many people might apply, but said it could be “significant” surge, and they said they expect it to be a “lasting” trend. Officials also announced that Costa Rica has agreed to...

With ten weeks to go until the end of the fiscal year, the Obama administration continues to admit Syrian refugees at an accelerated pace, and has now exceeded two-thirds of President Obama's target of 10,000 by September 30. The proportion of Christians among those resettled continues to languish below half of one percent, while other non-Sunnis account for just over one percent. As of Monday, 1,515 Syrian refugees fleeing the civil war in their homeland had been admitted since the beginning of July, and a total of 6,726 since FY 2016 began on October 1, according to State Department Refugee...

The New York Times’s examination of the Uranium One deal is based on dozens of interviews, as well as a review of public records and securities filings in Canada, Russia and the United States. Some of the connections between Uranium One and the Clinton Foundation were unearthed by Peter Schweizer, a former fellow at the right leaning Hoover Institution and author of the forthcoming book “Clinton Cash.” Mr. Schweizer provided a preview of material in the book to The Times, which scrutinized his information and built upon it with its own reporting.

The Secret Service is investigating comments made by a Donald Trump adviser for veteran's issues for saying that Hillary Clinton should be executed for "treason." "The U.S. Secret Service is aware of this matter and will conduct the appropriate investigation," spokesman Robert Hoback told The Daily Beast on Wednesday. The adviser, New Hampshire State Rep. Al Baldasaro, told the Daily Beast earlier Wednesday that "anyone who commits treason should be shot. "I believe Hillary Clinton committed treason," he added. "She put people in danger. "When people take confidential material off a server, you're sharing information with the enemy. That's treason."...

So, let’s review what took place: Tuesday, June 28: Former President Bill Clinton suddenly appears to Attorney General Loretta Lynch in the cabin of her airplane parked on the tarmac in Phoenix, Arizona. Secret Service agents deny access to news photos and videos of the visit. They visit for 30 minutes. Thursday, June 29: Lynch denies that any discussion with Bill Clinton of the FBI’s investigation of Hillary Clinton’s email scandal took place, and states that she expects to accept the recommendation of the FBI as to further actions in the Clinton case. She does not, however, recuse herself or...

Americans viewing the recent failed coup attempt in Turkey as some exotic foreign news story -- the latest, violent yet hardly unusual political development to occur in a region constantly beset by turmoil -- should pause to consider that the prospect of similar instability would not be unfathomable in this country if Donald Trump were to win the presidency.

The 28-page section of the 9/11 report detailing Saudi involvement in the September 11, 2001 jihad attacks have finally been released (albeit with substantial portions still redacted), and it is now clear why one President who held hands with the Saudi King and another who bowed to him worked so hard all these years to keep these pages secret: they confirm that the 9/11 jihad murderers received significant help from people at the highest levels of the Saudi government. The report states that Omar al-Bayoumi, who “may be a Saudi intelligence officer,” gave “substantial assistance to hijackers Khalid al-Mindhar and...

A West Virginia lawmaker said Saturday he regrets tweeting that Hillary Clinton should be “hung on the mall in Washington, D.C.,” as punishment for her use of a private email server as secretary of state. But Michael Folk, a member of West Virginia’s House of Delegates, said he still believes Clinton should be tried for treason after an FBI investigation determined she handled classified information on the server. The FBI recommended earlier this month that charges not be brought against Clinton or her staffers. “I do think she should be tried and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,”...

our political class is still violating our sovereignty and security with endless migrants from the Middle East. We have so many emergencies within our national security apparatus and military that can and should be addressed within the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), yet the GOP-Senate chose to focus on more immigration as their final act before recess. The Senate passed the Shaheen, D-N.H. (F, 2%) motion to instruct the conference committee negotiating the House-Senate differences in the NDAA to authorize a potentially unlimited amount Special Immigrant Visas (SIV) for Afghanis. Only 12 Republicans opposed the motion, which is non-binding, but...

The FBI has confirmed to a senior Republican senator that agents were sworn to secrecy -- and subject to lie detector tests -- in the Hillary Clinton email probe, an extensive measure one former agent said could have a "chilling effect." A July 1 letter sent by a senior deputy to FBI Director James Comey to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, detailed the restrictions on agents. The letter, reviewed by Fox News, confirmed agents signed a "Case Briefing Acknowledgement" which says the disclosure of information is "strictly prohibited" without prior approval, and those who sign are subject to...

The State Department misplaced and lost some $6 billion due to the improper filing of contracts during the past six years, mainly during the tenure of former Secretary of State Hilary Clinton, according to a newly released Inspector General report. The $6 billion in unaccounted funds poses a “significant financial risk and demonstrates a lack of internal control over the Department’s contract actions,” according to the report. The alert, originally sent on March 20 and just released this week, warns that the missing contracting funds “could expose the department to substantial financial losses.” The report centered on State Department contracts...

FBI Director James Comey has a long history of involvement in Department of Justice actions that arguably ended up favorable to the Clintons. In 2004, Comey, then serving as a deputy attorney general in the Justice Department, apparently limited the scope of the criminal investigation of Sandy Berger, which left out former Clinton administration officials who may have coordinated with Berger in his removal and destruction of classified records from the National Archives. The documents were relevant to accusations that the Clinton administration was negligent in the build-up to the 9/11 terrorist attack. On Tuesday, Comey announced that despite evidence...

FBI Director James Comey’s bombshell decision to excuse presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton from indictment over her use of private e-mails might come as a surprise to many, but to Lanny Davis, who served as special counsel to former President Clinton, it’s a relief. During an interview on Cavuto: Coast to Coast, he defended Hillary Clinton and explained why she is more trustworthy than Donald Trump. “We are relieved and ready to move on. Secretary Clinton has said she made a mistake and has owned up to that mistake

When the Obama Administration, on July 5th, ruled that in regard to Hillary Clinton’s privatized email system while she was Secretary of State, "Our judgment is that no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case†to a grand jury, because “We cannot find a case that would support bringing criminal charges,â€Â they ignored the following six U.S. criminal laws, each of which undeniably describes very well what she did: 18 U.S. Code § 2232 — Destruction or removal of property to prevent seizure(a) Destruction or Removal of Property To Prevent SeizureWhoever, before, during, or after any search for or seizure of property by...
