His latest ad features him touting bills he co-sponsored that were signed into law by Trump. Colton Haab, a student who survived last week’s mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, refused to participate in a CNN Town Hall on Wednesday night after he was told to ask a “scripted” question. Haab, a junior at the high school, told Fort Lauderdale ABC affiliate WPLG that CNN invited him to speak at the televised town hall in nearby Sunrise, Florida, and that he and his parents had dressed up for the occasion. But CNN then told Haab he would have to read a question that CNN had prepared for him:

The Democrats’ lead over Republicans on a generic 2018 election ballot has narrowed, a new poll has found. According to a CNN survey, Democrats have a 5-point lead, with 49 percent of respondents saying they’d support Democrats on a generic congressional ballot. Forty-four percent of registered voters said they’d support Republicans. The latest poll narrows the 18-point lead Democrats held over Republicans when the survey was conducted in December, at which point 56 percent of respondents said they’d choose Democrats while 38 percent said they’d vote for the Republican candidate. Startup Day Across America Panel – with Congressman Jared Polis This event was held on August 1 at the “Rayback Collective” in Boulder Colorado. About 40 people attended in person and an unknown number followed the discussion over streaming video.
