CINCINNATI — Police were studying mall surveillance video Tuesday in their investigation of the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old Ohio boy authorities say tried to rob a shopper in his quest to obtain popular, limited-edition athletic shoes. Miami Township police said a man with a concealed weapon permit fired his gun after he and another man were accosted Saturday morning by three teens on a sidewalk outside the Dayton Mall. Police said one teen had showed a gun. Jawaad Jabbar of Middletown died a short time later of a gunshot wound to his torso, authorities said.

BRONX, N.Y. (WABC) -- Police have arrested the man they say brutally kicked and robbed a woman in the Bronx, an incident that was caught on surveillance video. The suspect, 18-year old Alonzo Brown, spoke with Eyewitness News following the arrest Tuesday. "I'm sorry," said Brown. ("Who are you saying that to, the lady?", we asked.) Early Monday, TMZ published what it said was video from inside the elevator at the shuttered Revel Casino in Atlantic City, where Rice was arrested on Feb. 15 for a domestic dispute involving his now-wife Janay. Federal authorities opposed Friday's release of a surveillance video showing a man resembling Michael Brown committing a robbery at a convenience store in Ferguson, Mo., CBS News correspondent Bob Orr reports. The Justice Department asked Ferguson police not to release the video, believing that it would roil the community further, and were able to successfully prevent the video from being released Thursday, the U.S. law enforcement official said.
