Two women are wanted for assault in Maryland after throwing food and a chair at a worker inside a Chipotle restaurant, authorities said Wednesday. The incident unfolded around 10 p.m. on Nov. 26 at the Chipotle in the 900 block of Ellsworth Drive in Silver Spring, the Montgomery County Police Department said. The female suspects were seen on surveillance video inside the restaurant while conversing with an employee at the counter. The suspects then turned to walk away as the video cut to another angle showing the women speaking with a worker near the tables.

A British soldier who picked up and threw away a live grenade before it could kill him and his men is among 131 members of the Armed Forces whose heroics are being officially honoured. Serjeant Deacon Cutterham was wading through an irrigation ditch knee-deep in water on patrol in Helmand province, Afghanistan, when the grenade came flying over a high wall to one side and landed in front of him. He reached down to grab it and "posted" the grenade into a parallel irrigation channel to get it out of his hand as quickly as possible.

A vegetarian passenger aboard a Continental Airlines flight apparently was so disgusted by the meal she was served that she threw her tray at a flight attendant, the New York Post reports. "She said she was a vegetarian and she didn't like what she was being served," an airline official told the newspaper. "So she threw the food tray — and the food — at the attendant." The flight last Friday, which originated in the Dominican Republic, was bound for Newark Liberty International Airport. The woman reportedly had ordered a special meal but it was not vegetarian, the newspaper reported....

What a bunch of garbage! An elderly Manhattan woman living on Social Security was slapped with a $100 ticket -- just for throwing away a newspaper in a city trash can. Delia Gluckin, 80, tossed the paper in a bin right outside her Inwood apartment building Saturday morning, only to be ambushed by an overzealous Department of Sanitation agent wielding a handheld computertized ticket book. "I was walking to take the subway downtown and dropped it in a trash can, and this lady in a blue uniform ran up to me," Gluckin told The Post.

Officers were called shortly Monday afternoon and found Demotric Moore with a gunshot wound to the neck. The boy was pronounced dead at a hospital.
