LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Kentucky man has been charged with posting a poem threatening President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama on a white supremacist Web site. U.S. Secret Service Special Agent Stephan M. Pazenzia said Johnny Logan Spencer Jr., 27, of Louisville wrote and posted the poem, titled "The Sniper," on a page called NewSaxon.org. The site is described as an "Online Community for Whites by Whites." The poem was posted in August 2007, according to an arrest affidavit.

Chicago (AP) -- A white supremacist blogger was arrested at his New Jersey home Wednesday and charged with threatening to assault or murder three Chicago-based judges who refused to overturn local ordinances banning handguns. Hal Turner, 47, a former Internet radio talk show host, was taken into custody by FBI agents who went to his North Bergen home with a search warrant, according to the U.S. attorney's office. Prosecutors quoted a Turner Internet posting as saying: "Let me be the first to say this plainly: These judges deserve to be killed."

MIAMI - A man is being held in Florida by federal authorities on charges of threatening to assassinate Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama. A man was arrested in Canada on suspicion of threatening the sheriff of Arizona's most populous county and his family, authorities said. Canadian authorities took Matthew Carl Sanderson, 37, into custody Friday although he since has been released. MIAMI (AP) - A jury found a Miami city commissioner guilty Friday of threatening a police detective following a highway chase last August. The six-member Circuit Court jury convicted City Commissioner Arthur E. Teele Jr. of making threats to a public servant but acquitted him of aggravated assault.
