Bernie Sanders is an open socialist. This "independent" representative for the state of Vermont who serves in the U.S. House of Representatives is also is a member of the "Progressive Caucus" along with dozens of members of Congress. This is just another communist front-group passing itself off as a "choice for the people." What rubbish. There's no question Hillary Clinton is a Marxist if you understand the subject matter. In the past, both Bill and Hillary have been generous donors to the Institute for Policy Studies, a subversive organization vigorously investigated by the FBI.

WASHINGTON, May 28 - Without it, the Federalist Society might not exist, nor its network of 35,000 conservative lawyers. Economic analysis might hold less sway in American courts. The premier idea factories of the right, from the Hoover Institution to the Heritage Foundation, would have lost millions of dollars in core support. And some classics of the conservative canon would have lost their financier, including Allan Bloom's lament of academic decline and Charles Murray's attacks on welfare. Part Medici, part venture capitalist, the John M. Olin Foundation has spent three decades financing the intellectual rise of the right and exciting...

A hush-hush meeting of 70 leftist fat cats heard billionaire George Soros lay out a five-year plan designed to build a network of think tanks, media outlets and training schools promoting Soros' brand of Marxism. Meeting in Scottsdale Ariz., last weekend, the assemblage of multi-millionaires, whose identities were kept secret by the meeting's organizers, planned to start the process of building an ideas production line for liberal politicians. They wwant to begin what organizers hope will be a long dialogue with the "partners," many from the high-tech industry, a group that backed John Kerry in last year's presidential election. According...

Soros says be patient ”George Soros told a carefully vetted gathering of 70 likeminded millionaires and billionaires last weekend that they must be patient if they want to realize long-term political and ideological yields from an expected massive investment in “startup” progressive think tanks.” ”The Scottsdale, Ariz., meeting, called to start the process of building an ideas production line for liberal politicians, began what organizers hope will be a long dialogue with the “partners,” many from the high-tech industry. Participants have begun to refer to themselves as the Phoenix Group.” “One source at the DNC with direct knowledge of the...

George Soros is one of the planet's wealthiest men, 38th on Forbes' latest list with about $7,000,000,000 which he keeps in a steamer trunk in a bomb-proof vault guarded by platoons of fanatically loyal mutant ninjas. The man is no fool. Last election cycle, Soros dipped into petty cash to toss about skaity-nine million bucks to a variety of campaigns to defeat George W. Bush. Move-on.org, a principal recipient of Soros' largesse, is dedicated to the canonization of Bill Clinton. It used Soros' money to get the anti-Bush message out. America Coming Together (ACT) got a bucketful of Soros cash...

<p>WASHINGTON — A new left-wing think tank — the Center for American Progress — unveiled itself Tuesday as the Democratic vaccine to what center supporters say is a plague of conservatism now dominating America.</p> <p>"We think the debate has been unbalanced in the country," center president John Podesta, a former chief of staff to President Clinton, told Fox News.</p>

<p>Why have the "conservative" think tanks been so successful, while those on the left have withered? The Democrats have been increasingly concerned by the fact they are losing the war of ideas, and they ought to be.</p> <p>John Podesta, President Clinton's last chief of staff, is the most recent prominent Democrat to attempt to build a left-of-center think tank, known as the "Center for American Progress."</p>

Worried that conservatives are winning the battle of ideas and winning voters, liberal Democrats are starting a new Washington think tank. The American Majority Institute is set to open in September, with an anuual budget of $10 million. It will be the largest Democratic think tank but far smaller than the GOP-oriented Heritage Foundation, with a $30 million budget. John Podesta, former Clinton chief of staff, is leading the project and has support from key Democrats. They hope it will help their party to craft a more-unified message for voters. But insiders say it's a tough task: The institute can't...

GOP ready to take the reins 01/05/2003 By DAVID JACKSON / The Dallas Morning News CRAWFORD, Texas - Welcome to the brave new Republican world. President Bush and a GOP-led Congress will converge on Washington this week to confront an age of anxiety, one layered with pessimism over the economy, terrorism, and confrontations with Iraq and North Korea. And Democrats, with little chance to enact an agenda of their own, are reminding Mr. Bush and Republicans of the perils of getting what you asked for. They plan to hold the GOP majority that Mr. Bush fought so hard to...

(From a) Speech by His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn al-Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to commemorate the opening of The Saban Center for Middle East Policy, Brookings Institute, Tel Aviv. May 13, 2002. Made possible by a generous founding grant from Mr. Haim Saban of Los Angeles, the Saban Center will permit the Brookings Institution to dramatically expand its research and analysis of Middle East policy issues at a time when the region has assumed a dominant position on the U.S. foreign policy agenda. MR. INDYK: Your Majesty, the last question is on Iraq. You'll be glad...
