Sarah Palin will swoop into Iowa and New Hampshire to speak at tea party rallies this Labor Day weekend, whipping up talk she will announce her candidacy for president. After all, this coming Saturday will mark the third anniversary of her acceptance speech for vice president at the Republican National Convention – a speech which established her as both a conservative icon and a magnet for criticism. Her supporters are certainly encouraging talk she will be a 2012 candidate. Peter Singleton, her Iowa political organizer, told National Review’s Robert Costa last month: “I believe she will run. Labor Day will...

She hasn't declared her candidacy yet. She showed up in New Hampshire the same day Mitt Romney declared he was running for president and garnered most of the press. And that was before the media got hold of her Paul Revere gaffe. And despite the fact that most Republicans won't vote for her, Palin has managed to top a poll. In what might be considered something more suitable to the strange-but-true section of the news, a poll released Wednesday by Reuters/IPSOS reflects something not seen in the results of any other poll -- Sarah Palin leading all other Republican 2012...

As the media swarms over Sarah Palin’s emails has anyone thought to ask why the personal information of those who wrote emails critical of Palin was not redacted? Some very ugly things are going to come out of these emails and not against Sarah Palin. Frankly I’m very disturbed by her legal team’s choices in what I’m reading. Sarah Palin and her legal team spent two and half years combing these emails for pages they wanted to withhold and for redactions to protect the privacy of some people. But you want to know whose information they left in? Any person...

By KASIE HUNT: SEABROOK, N.H. — Sarah Palin’s bus is plastered with a mock-up of the U.S. Constitution. But her entourage — both the three-vehicle motorcade that includes the bus and the smaller, two-SUV version she uses for smaller events — hasn’t been very respectful of traffic laws. They speed. They run red lights and stop signs. They make last-second lane changes to get off the highway, sometimes without signaling.....So do the reporters following them.

NEW YORK — Fresh off her Times Square pizza summit with Donald Trump, Sarah Palin carried on with her tour of the Big Apple Wednesday, paying visits to such treasured landmarks like Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. Although Palin was greeted with hand shakes and smiles from local admirers, her visit to New York wasn't immune to some hometown detractors. While Palin and company met with top brass at FOX News headquarters in Midtown, an unknown vandal managed to tag the former Alaska governor's patriotic-themed "One Nation" tour bus. "I, the media whore," read a hand

While tweeting about her visit to New York, Sarah Palin let the world know that she was visiting the Statute of Liberty. You probably aren’t surprised, but Sarah Palin managed to get the name of the Statue of Liberty wrong. This woman wants Republicans to believe that she can be president, but she doesn’t know that it is called the Statue of Liberty? What’s worse is that this wasn’t a verbal gaffe, it was written. She could have checked the tweet before she sent from her Blackberry, but that isn’t how Sarah Palin rolls.

MSNBC's Martin Bashir on May 31 insisted that Sarah Palin's bus tour amounts to a "breach of a federal law." Anchoring his eponymous program, Bashir scolded, "In fact, the whole thing could be in breach of a federal law because the United States Flag Code establishes important rules for the use and display of the stars and stripes, the flag of the United States." (VIDEO AT LINK) In his accusatory "Clear the Air" segment, the former ABC Nightline anchor lectured Palin that "standards of respect and etiquette" discourage using the American flag for "any advertising purpose whatsoever." "She drapes herself...

Absolutely hysterical! The Palin Derangement Tour is trying desperately to keep up with the bus! Martin Bashir actually suggests that the flag on Palin's bus is illegal. Honest to God. How long must we suffer such lunacy and why does Bashir have a television show at all? With all the flag imagery we see all day and every day you would think Mr. Bashir could ignore something like this. Apparently his disdain for Sarah Palin is such that he overlooked common usage of the flag before putting his foot in his mouth. We've seen the flag used for everything. It's on...

New York Times chief political blogger Michael Shear is a bit annoyed that Sarah Palin is successfully attracting media attention while ignoring reporter’s inquiries and playing hide-and-seek with the press on her "One Nation" bus tour. (Photo by the Times' David Winter.) Shear, who has filed multiple blog posts on the Palin family's historical trail through the Northeast, made Tuesday’s print edition with his gripes: (Palin Family Hits Road, if Not 2012 Trail)Ms. Palin announced her bus tour with great fanfare last week and is using it on her Web site to raise money for her political action committee. Despite...

<p>Gettysburg, Pennsylvania (CNN) — Sarah Palin pulled a clever bait and switch on reporters in Gettysburg on Tuesday, as her “One Nation” bus tour rolls into its third day.</p>
<p>The Palin family and a few members of her staff snuck out of their hotel early, leaving their flashy bus behind in the hotel parking lot to give reporters chasing her the impression that she was still readying for the day.</p>

With a lot of media attention, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin visited the nation’s capital over the weekend to kick off a bus tour, in which she will visit various national landmarks. But some see the trip as a campaign stunt for a possible 2012 presidential campaign. On Monday’s “Special Report,” syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer offered his thoughts on the bus tour, but admitted he wasn’t clear on what was motivating it. “I don’t know – it’s more eccentric than usual, this event,” Krauthammer said. “She says she is going around to highlight ‘the foundation of the country.’ I don’t...

Yesterday, thousands of bikers descended upon Washington, D.C., for the annual Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Rally. The rally is an annual demonstration that was started in 1987 to bring attention to the plight of prisoners of war and to those service people missing in action. Among the riders? Sarah Palin. Decked out in a black jacket, big shades, and a Harley-Davidson helmet the Mama Grizzly transformed herself into a Motorcyle Mama for the day to join them in the cause. Palin was joined at the rally by her husband Todd (forever riding the metaphorical sidecar) and her two daughters, Bristol and...
