Dear Democrats: It’s too late to start over. As in, there’s no replacing Hillary Rodham Clinton as your party’s front-runner for the presidential nomination. Not with Vice President Biden — even if he runs. Not with former vice president Al Gore. (I mean, come on.) Not with your ideal rich-person-with-no-record-and-a-fresh-faced-appeal. This may come as a shock to some of you. After all, you argue, it’s only August! The Iowa caucuses won’t be until February! That’s, like, four political lifetimes. Sure. But modern presidential politics isn’t as simple as announcing that you’ve decided to run and watching yourself soar to the...

And it’s perverted of Biden to go along with all Obama is doing to main-street Americans after all his country has done for him Bending himself into proverbial pretzels, Vice President Joe Biden, who won’t call a jihadist a jihadist or a terrorist a terrorist, on Saturday called the slaying of four Marines and a sailor at a Chattanooga reserve center the act of a “perverted jihadist.” “Perverted” should be attached as an adjective to the title of President Barack Obama. It is perverted to get yourself elected as president of a country when your only perverted mission is to...

A representative for a pro-Islamic State hacking group issued a chilling warning to members of the U.S. military and government Wednesday, promising that “very soon” followers of the organization would retaliate for overseas bombing targeting the terror organization. Speaking to TheBlaze using smartphone messenger application Kik, a representative for the Islamic State Hacking Division said the group is constantly spying on U.S. servicemen. The organization on Tuesday published personal information purporting to belong to U.S. military and government online. “Just like they spy on muslims, we are spying on them, watching their employees, watching their soldiers, recording their movements and...

Vice President Joe Biden on Saturday called the man who fatally shot four U.S. Marines and a Navy sailor a “perverted jihadist” during a eulogy for the servicemen at a memorial in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Biden told a packed arena that the ideology that drove Mohammod Youssuf Abdulazeez, a 24-year-old engineer, to go on a rampage at two local military facilities was no match for national character. “When this perverted jihadist struck, everyone responded,” Biden said. “We have a message for those perverted cowards around the world. America never yields, never bends, never cowers and never stands down.” Abdulazeez sprayed gunfire...

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) -- Vice President Joe Biden on Saturday called the slaying of four Marines and a sailor at a Chattanooga reserve center the act of a "perverted jihadist." Biden's comments came at a memorial to the five servicemen killed in a shooting rampage by Kuwait-born Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez.

Today word spread like wildfire that Vice President Joe Biden had, at the memorial for four Marines and one sailor killed in Chattanooga last month, referred to their killer as a "perverted jihadist." The AP was the fastest to produce video of the event, which the quickly put on YouTube and which began to be shared across social media. The tweets all contained the phrase "perverted jihadist." The video had the words in the title. The only problem? They aren't in the video above. Was the VP censored? Hard to say. Take a look. You can hear Biden's say the...

This blog brought to you by Orville Redenbacher . . . One short segment on today's With All Due Respect packed plenty of explosive commentary. There was John Heilemann saying that Al Gore "hates" Hillary and that if he gets in the race would be a "huge" problem for her. Lending credence to Heilemann's "hates" claim is the fact that he mentioned having "spent a lot of time" with Gore in 2006. Translation: I was with him on those long nights when Al let his beard down and spoke straight from his globally-warmed heart. A second noteworthy comment came from...

As Ted Cruz traipses through the South, his mentions of one Republican draw more derision than that of any Democrat, President Obama and presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton included. Jeb Bush. During campaign stops Monday and Tuesday in Tennessee and Mississippi, Cruz's references to the former Florida governor, now a staple of the senator's stump speech, often elicited loud booing, sometimes accompanied by scattered shouts of "Establishment!" or "RINO!" (Republican In Name Only). For months, the Republican Texas senator has been alluding to Bush as the archetypal moderate, insufficiently conservative and guaranteed to shut the GOP out of the White House...

Forget the Twitter blog for emoji responses to how millennials feel about student debt. As the New York Daily News’ Alejandro Alba notes, the condescending approach didn’t generate much respect from Hillary Clinton’s target audience. The beleagured Democrat tried to shift attention to policy from the e-mail scandal, focusing on her $350 billion proposal to overhaul higher-education finances, which is in a shambles largely due to federal government intervention in the first place.Mission not accomplished: While some users thought the question was “relatable,†others believed the question was offensive and condescending. Many users began to reply to the tweet with...

Five months ago, his team said he was out, but just when you think you’re out … they pull you back in. Maybe, that is, as Al Gore’s advisers aren’t actually saying he’s even thinking seriously about a presidential run. However, since the other relic from four terms ago isn’t faring well these days, suddenly a progressive nation turns its lonely eyes to the man who couldn’t clinch the gimme in 2000: Gore, 67, won the popular vote in the 2000 election, and has been mentioned as a possible candidate in every contested Democratic primary since then. He instead...

Politically wounded presumptive nominee staggering in the desert of her email scandal.Hillary is politically wounded by her never-ending email scandal, which keeps sucking the life out of her favorability ratings, and has Democrats panicked with fear: “I’m not sure they completely understand the credibility they are losing, by the second,” said one Democratic strategist, who spoke on the condition of anonymity. “At some point this goes from being something you can rationalize away to something that becomes political cancer. And we are getting pretty close to the cancer stage, because this is starting to get ridiculous.” “Look, this is a...

(VIDEO-AT-LINK)RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – A local mother is upset because kids at her child’s school are allowed to fly Confederate flags on campus. The mom, who would like to remain anonymous, contacted News 2 with concerns about her son’s safety at Stewarts Creek High School in Rutherford County. She said her 14-year-old son, who is in ninth grade, came home this week and told her that kids were wearing Confederate flag T-shirts to class. The mother said she saw them herself while dropping off her son Wednesday morning. She said she also noticed students flying Confederate flags in the...

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) – It was an unscripted moment like few others on the presidential campaign trail Monday in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Ted Cruz paused for a moment and looked into the audience at a community center for a man who changed his family’s life. “I was told Pastor Gaylon Wiley was here,” he told the crowd. “I haven’t seen Brother Wiley since I was a kid.” Then as the room with a thousand people fell silent, Cruz said “Brother Wiley led my dad to the Lord.” Out in the audience that day was Gaylon Wiley, who now lives in nearby...

Senator Ted Cruz made his mark on Murfreesboro for an appearance at Patterson Community Center Monday. The event was held in the local gym. Senator Cruz explained why he was running for president . . . (AUDIO-AT-LINK)Comments from Public NewsRadio WGNS asked a random group of persons at the Patterson Community Center what they liked about Senator Cruz . . . U.S. Senator and presidential candidate Ted Cruz passed through Nashville yesterday, stopping to speak to supporters in nearby Murfreesboro and Franklin. Cruz had previously announced a state Leadership Team that includes Murfreesboro businesswoman Michelle Garcia and Clarksville Mayor Pro-Tem and pastor Tommy Vallejos. While pressing the flesh, Cruz posed for a photo with Garcia and Vallejos. From the Cruz campaign press release on the Tennessee Leadership Team: Michelle Garcia is a wife, a mother of two, and a Tennessee native who strongly supports conservative principles and who eagerly strives to serve her community. Michelle speaks fluent Spanish and is actively...

A state court in Tennessee has ruled in favor of a student expelled for sexual assault, saying his school’s procedures improperly assumed he was guilty and forced him to prove his innocence. The case of Corey Mock and Molly Morris, both students at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC), has attracted significant attention thanks to a lengthy profile of Morris that was published by Vice last year. Morris claims she was given a drugged drink at a party, and then was later raped by Mock while she was barely conscious and unable to consent. She complained to her school several...

Just got home from the local Ted Cruz rally. The event was sold out and I lost count of how many standing ovations there were. We had really good seats close to the front just right of center stage. Cruz was on message and I must say he is even more impressive in person than on T.V. I was interviewed by the local T.V. station WBBJ T.V. I am waiting on the 10 o'clock news. I'm sure there were many people interviewed, so I don't know if I will actually be on the newscast, but the whole evening was a...

U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz stopped in Chattanooga on Monday as he spent the congressional recess politicking around the South. The Texas senator and presidential dreamer (being called a dreamer will probably cause him a little heartburn) is best known for shutting down the government, reading Green Eggs and Ham during a filibuster and opposing immigration reform — never mind that he is son of a Cuban immigrant. In Chattanooga, the tea party-leaning Republican made what he called a biscuits and gravy stopover during his eight-state "Cruz Country" bus tour through the southern states. He made a stump speech at GraceWorks...

The Navy is preparing to arm sailors at its reserve centers across the country in the aftermath of the attack last month at a Navy Reserve Center in Chattanooga that resulted in the deaths of 4 Marines and 1 sailor, officials said late Friday. The Navy has authorized arming personnel at reserve centers that are not on military installations, such as the Chattanooga center, a Navy spokesman told Fox News. Cmdr. William Marks said armed guards will be posted at the centers as “a matter of prudent and necessary action toward protecting our personnel.” [Snip] The Navy began examining ways...
