The guidelines lift restrictions on certain types of unethical research that manipulate, alter, or destroy human embryos. Some examples...

U.S.—According to ultrasound technicians around the country, unborn babies are disguising themselves as death row inmates so that liberals will defend their right to live. The babies got the idea from how major media networks reliably frame their coverage of state executions of death row inmates, no matter the details of their depraved and demonic crimes they committed while they were alive and free. “If these people can get sympathy, surely we can,” signed one unborn fetus to its ultrasound technician while clad in gang attire and wielding a sharp knife. “Maybe we just weren’t doing enough heinous crimes against...

Our News Analysis Division has given this fact checker a rating of: Deeply Distorted Deeply Distorted Alexandra DeSanctis of National Review pointed out the silliness of what they call a "Fact Check" these days. On Monday, Snopes.com asked the question "Was a Baby Born Alive at 23 Weeks ‘Thrown in the Trash’?" The factual answer is "Yes." But Snopes had to define it down to a "Mixture" of truth and falsehood....because facts can be spun! What's True The co-owner of an abortion clinic in Florida did cut the umbilical cord of a baby who had been born alive before the...

Beto O’Rourke recently argued that, while unborn life has value, abortion is still a “decision for the woman.” It’s also a decision that becomes increasingly difficult to defend when described in detail – something the media rarely do. On August 26, the Democratic presidential candidate expressed his support for abortion – even up until the day before birth. O’Rourke made his comments during a town hall Q&A held at the College of Charleston in South Carolina. The first question that evening came from a 29-year-old man who was curious about the former Texas representative’s abortion stance. “Someone asked you specifically...

A woman tells her story of an abortion of a down syndrome baby and then her subsequent birth of a disabled child. She shared this on a message board for women who aborted disabled children: I have lurked here for years, and although my story may not be welcomed with open arms, I feel compelled to share it none-the-less. Like many of you, I received a pre-natal diagnosis that our precious baby had Down syndrome and a heart defect. It was completely unexpected and devastating, obviously. Like many of you, my first concern was for my daughter. What would having...

Friday, December 15, 2006 A growing split in the pro-life community Posted: December 15, 2006 1:00 a.m. Eastern By Ed Hanks © 2006 In the wake of last week's U.S. House vote on the Fetal Pain bill, several magazines, blogs and pro-life websites have begun to discuss a growing split in the pro-life community over bills like this that attempt to slow or regulate abortions, but not stop them. Some such divisions can be detrimental to a cause. Others can finally crystallize the issue and energize the movement. The debate over incremental anti-abortion laws, versus working toward the goal of...

I just received this email from a dear family friend who operates a sidewalk counseling group in Glendale, CA. Hello, everyone! I've been speaking to an unmarried woman in her mid-30s, in her fourth month with a Downs Syndrome Baby. She has an aborton scheduled. She has relented, and given us a few days to see if there is a family out there who wants to adopt her special-needs baby. Her family is totally against the abortion, and wants her to adopt the baby out. Mom was very insistent on going ahead with the abortion, so this respite of a...

Thanks to the efforts of members and lurkers on Free Republic and their friends with pro-life email lists around the country, a baby's life was saved last August. An urgent request for adoption by a sidewalk counselor in Glendale California was posted here August 24, 2004 (original post). The single mother was told her baby had Downs Syndrome and for that reason no one would want to adopt her baby. Our Blessed friend in Glendale was eventually flooded with over 600 emails from Freepers and their friends willing to adopt the baby. The mother was so overwhelmed that she decided...
