Richard Belzer, a comedian known for his role as cynical “Law & Order” detective John Munch, has died at 78 — his last words as edgy as his long career: “F— you, motherf—er.” Belzer died early Sunday at his home in the South of France, his pal and writer Bill Scheft told The Hollywood Reporter. The actor played the role of Munch on multiple shows, including “Homicide: Life on the Street” and “Law & Order: SVU,” and had cameos in other shows like “The X Files.” “He had lots of health issues, and his last words were, ‘F–k you, motherf–er,’”...

Craig Gore, a writer whose credits include “S.W.A.T.” and “Chicago P.D.,” has been fired from Dick Wolf’s upcoming “Law & Order” spinoff series after controversial Facebook posts about looters and the recent curfew put in place across Los Angeles. “I will not tolerate this conduct, especially during our hour of national grief. I am terminating Craig Gore immediately,” Dick Wolf said in a statement to Variety. Photos on social media show Gore holding a weapon with the caption “Curfew…” In another comment, Gore threatened to “light motherf—ers up who are trying to f— with my property,” in reference to protests...

Dick Law & Order: SVU is making television history this season with its record-setting 21st season, making it TV’s longest-running primetime live-action series. And Dick Wolf;s venerable crime drama starring Mariska Hargitay is nowhere near done. NBC has given Law & Order: SVU a new three-year renewal for Seasons 22, 23 and 24, expanding the gap over the previous record mark of 20 seasons set by mothership series Law & Order (1990-2010) and Gunsmoke (1955-75). The massive renewal is part of a mega new deal for Wolf has signed with Law & Order: SVU studio Universal Television, that also includes...

Law & Order: SVU and its star Mariska Hargitay have cemented their places in television history. NBC has renewed Dick Wolf’s series for a record-setting 21st season, making it TV’s longest-running primetime live-action series, surpassing the previous mark of 20 seasons set by mothership series Law & Order (1990-2010) and Gunsmoke (1955-75). And the police procedural may not been done rewriting TV records books as I hear Season 21 is not currently envisioned as a final chapter. The renewal also marks a milestone for Hargitay’s Lt. Benson as the longest-running character in a primetime live-action series. Hargitay surpassed Gunsmoke‘s James...
  • Blasey-Ford: Sources Claim She's Auditioning to be an Actress for Law & Order's SVU Series

Will the FBI discover Dr. Ford is actually Dr. Fraud in the course of the investigation? A week of studying crime victims played by actresses on SVU would go a long way in 'preparing' her for the judiciary hearings. Have 'acting fees' (nearly a million dollars) for her services been paid through GoFundMe accounts? If not, who has contributed these monies and what is the legitimate purpose for these funds? Upon learning that the double front door on her rental property was constructed to conform to Palo Alto code compliance laws, does anyone still believe her entire testimony? The second...

The next chapter in Dick Wolf‘s criminal justice franchise is officially in the works with NBC ordering 13 episodes of Law & Order: Hate Crimes. Per a release, this new series is “based on New York’s actual Hate Crimes Task Force, the second oldest bias-based task force in the U.S. The unit, which pledges to uphold a zero tolerance policy against discrimination of any kind, works under the NYPD’s real Special Victims Unit and often borrows SVU’s detectives to assist in their investigations.” As you might have been able to infer from that last sentence, the Hate Crimes team will...
  • Anyone see "Law&Order SVU?" When you combine Paula Deen, Trayvon Martin, and Stop&Frisk in one hour

    one man's opinion...
"Law & Order SVU" is the last survivor of NBC's entire "Law and Order" family. They've always addressed current events, and advertise the program's stories as "ripped from the headlines," but last night's show was all that, on steroids. In 47 minutes, they address, and combined into one show Paula Deen, Trayvon Martin & George Zimmerman, and The NYPD's "stop and frisk" program. I'm wondering if anyone else saw it, and what you think.

  • Conservatives, Christians the Real Victims of Law and Order SVU

NBC's "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" has consistency working in its favor: the biggest "victims" are its depictions of conservatives and Christians. Part of "SVU's" appeal is its ripped-from-the-headlines storylines, but the program's writers frequently use these storylines to promote liberal agendas and to bash Christians. Three different episodes have aired since February 10 and all promoted a liberal agenda. In the past month, audiences saw Christians portrayed as kinky sex addicts and murderers, heard propaganda that supports the idea of special punishment for hate crimes based on sexual orientation, and heard the detectives on the show refer to...

Barack Obama dismissed Rick Wagoner, and he is reportedly planning to dismiss a majority of GM’s Board of Directors. He also says he wants bold reform, so that General Motors offers the sort of cutting-edge products that the car buyers of today and tomorrow want. He also doesn’t like the Chevy Volt. So what does Barack Obama expect us to drive? Today’s news gives us reason to worry. Maybe Obama doesn’t want Americans to own cars at all; maybe he expects us to buy this… thing:

YAPPY "View" co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck is up in arms over an episode of "Law & Order: SVU" where a character named Elizabeth Hassenback is raped and murdered. She says she believes the char acter was meant to be her. On yesterday's edition of "The View," she described a phone call she placed to the crime show's executive pro ducer, Neal Baer, and claimed he hung up on her after she complained to him. "I said, 'Look, I think it's socially irresponsible to do this. . . I know what you did, that's essentially my name." Baer told her to "chalk...
