Boycotts don't work, America cannot beat anyone in a war, the supply lines are too thin, Iraqi resistance is stiff, the Arab street will rise up, and my favorite, "There are no American infidels in Baghdad. Never!" The bottom line is that the Left wants everyone to believe them, or in the case of the former Iraqi Minister of Information Baghdad Bob, believe anything but what is actually happening.....

The Brooklyn Academy of Music has stepped up to the plate to host the 15th anniversary screening of baseball film "Bull Durham" on Wednesday.... (sorry, I'm not a subscriber to Variety.com, so this is the best I could do!).

THE taxpayer-funded folks at Lincoln Center have a thing for aging actresses who undermine the morale of American soldiers during wartime. Liberation-loathing Susan Sarandon will be getting the equivalent of a lifetime-achievement award when she's feted at the Film Society of Lincoln Center's 2003 gala tribute May 5. The last woman to be so honored was Jane Fonda in 2001, who earned the handle "Hanoi Jane" for broadcasting anti-American propaganda to our troops during the Vietnam War.

Wednesday, April 23, 2003Hollywood Appeasers Cash In on Anti-U.S. RantsDon't believe the whining of Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon and other Tinseltown leftists who claim they're paying a price for opposing Operation Iraqi Freedom. They're getting rich from their anti-U.S. activism, according to the liberal Washington Post. Consider this boast from Janeane Garofalo, who still refuses to make the apology she so publicly promised after Iraqi citizens welcomed their U.S.-led liberators. "I knew when I started speaking out that it was going to be unpleasant, and I’ve taken my punches. But the positives have far outweighed the negatives,” she...

A brief timeline of a recent skirmish on the front lines of political dissent in America: April 10: The National Baseball Hall of Fame cancels an event commemorating the 15th anniversary of the movie Bull Durham, saying the vocal antiwar stance of two of its stars, Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon, "ultimately could put our troops in more danger." Robbins insists he had no intention of addressing the war at the event. April 11: Roger Kahn, author of The Boys of Summer, cancels his scheduled appearance at the Hall of Fame in protest. "You are choking freedom of dissent," Kahn...

Bob Costas was whining like the girly-man he is about the Hall of Fame's decision to forego an invitation to leftist radicals Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon to appear in Cooperstown for a puzzling 15th anniversary celebration of the overrated movie 'Bull Durham.' Not only have Robbins and Sarandon been anti-America political distractions, but were nattering nabobs of negativity regarding the Iraqi war.Apparently, O'Reilly felt it was better to sit on the fence during the brief interview, while Costas, as usual, holds the belief that he is the High Priest of MLB Baseball, and for all of the rest of...

If you don't like Susan Sarandon, maybe you will be cheered to learn she'll be stranded in Antarctica with cancer this weekend on CBS. If you do like Sarandon, the good news is she gives a solid performance that elevates CBS' "Ice Bound: A Woman's Survival at the South Pole," an otherwise ordinary *** depiction of Dr. Jerri Nielsen's well-documented battle with breast cancer, isolation and the elements that's set for 8 p.m. Sunday on WBBM-Channel 2. So it goes for Sarandon, an increasingly polarizing figure of late, left out in the cold by some for her anti-war stances. First,...

04-18-03- As we head into the holiday weekend, we wanted to send out a reminder that Ms. Sarandon's tele-film, Ice Bound is being shown on CBS this weekend, Sunday, at 9:00 p.m. It appears that even the movie's subject Dr. Nielsen, isn't happy with the end result: Sarandon's portrayal slammed by real-life doctor 'This isn't me,' Dr. Jerri Nielsen says of her character in TV movie As part of our continuing effort to be pro-active in reminding those in Hollywood of who "signs" their paychecks, we'd like to recommend alternatives to watching Ice Bound. It's a wonderful time to be...

Washington, DC, Apr 17 (OneWorld) - A major environmental group has declared a ceasefire in its three-year campaign against Citigroup, the world's largest private financial institution, after new commitments by the giant lender to adopt more responsible social and environmental policies in deciding what projects to finance. Citigroup's decision to more seriously engage one of its main critics, Rainforest Action Network (RAN), came one week after the San Francisco-based group launched a major ad campaign to persuade Citigroup credit card holders to destroy their cards to protest the company's support for projects and industries that environmentalists consider particularly harmful. The...

As actor and left-wing activist Tim Robbins complains about how unfairly he and Susan Sarandon are being treated these days, you can almost hear the world's smallest violin playing in the background. Until it was abruptly canceled, Robbins and Sarandon were scheduled to appear at a Baseball Hall of Fame salute to their movie Bull Durham. The Hall's president decided to can the whole event, saying the couple's opposition to the war in Iraq undermined the U.S. position and "ultimately could put our troops in even more danger." It's not the first time their anti-Operation Iraqi Freedom statements have...

Rusty just had Jerry Doyle a "conservative" actor from Hollywood on. It was an interesting contrast to the whining from Susan "I love Stalin" Sarandon and Tim "Mass Murder by Commies is Great" Robbins. He said that after he ran for Congress in 2000 as a Republican, he was basically blackballed from getting any parts in Hollywood. To paraphrase "after the 2000 election I was about as busy as a deodorant salesman in Paris". I guess we need more actors to step forward about the policy of blackballing conservatives in Hollywood to demonstrate that the shrill whine from the left...

Having a Constitutional right to free speech was so essential to the Founding Fathers that they made it the first of the rights guaranteed in writing, in the creation of the United States. As time passed, lots of things were viewed as speech even though they were physical acts. Pretty soon, things got a little crazy and burning the symbol of the country that gave citizens the right of free speech was seen as a protected right under the first amendment. Apparently, it got folks who made a living pretending to be other people and read words written by other...

ABC's Peter Jennings sees an ominous new threat in the world. Not weapons of mass destruction or terrorism, but another vast right-wing conspiracy at home, specifically, the supposedly "well organized and aggressive efforts to make life very difficult for celebrities who speak out against the war." Jennings ended Tuesday's World News Tonight with this plug for Wednesday's show: "That is our report on World News Tonight. Tomorrow on the broadcast, the well organized and aggressive efforts to make life very difficult for celebrities who speak out against the war. I'm Peter Jennings. Have a good evening, and good night." I...

'Human Shields' Protect Reporters from Pacifist Actor By Jeff Johnson CNSNews.com Congressional Bureau Chief April 16, 2003 Capitol Hill (CNSNews.com) - "We're here to protect you," members of the Washington, D.C. chapter of the Free Republic told reporters gathered to cover an anti-war speech by self-proclaimed pacifist and actor Tim Robbins. "We're here to demonstrate against Tim Robbins and act as human shields for reporters in case they ask a question that Tim Robbins doesn't like and he threatens to harm them like he did Lloyd Grove of the Washington Post ," said Kristinn Taylor, co-leader of the group. Grove...
