Rep. Devin Nunes, the top Republican on the House Intelligence Committee, called attention to an "important" story published Sunday evening related to the opposition research firm and author behind the infamous Trump dossier. The Daily Caller reported on what it said was a dark money group based in California that gave $2 million to The Democracy Integrity Project, an organization that has contracted with Fusion GPS and Christopher Steele to conduct research on President Trump. In a tweet, Nunes stressed the report bore extra significance due to its timing. "This is actually important as we wait for the March 14...
  • How Easter Killed My Faith in Atheism

Earlier this week, humorist Ricky Gervais presented his arguments for atheism and why he thought he was a better Christian than many Christians. In this follow-up essay, writer Lee Strobel offers his defense of Easter. It was the worst news I could get as an atheist: my agnostic wife had decided to become a Christian. Two words shot through my mind. The first was an expletive; the second was “divorce.” I thought she was going to turn into a self-righteous holy roller. But over the following months, I was intrigued by the positive changes in her character and values. Finally,...

It's interesting that many who dismiss the Bible and certain essential Christian claims -- saying they believe there is scant evidence to support them -- are able to readily embrace rival belief systems and their texts, which are far less reliable. Former atheist Lee Strobel has used his formidable journalistic and legal background as legal editor of the Chicago Tribune to research and write a number of bestselling books in defense of the Christian faith. His recently released "The Case for the Real Jesus" goes beyond the traditional apologetic to address some of the current attacks on the identity of...

Lee Strobel has written a sequel to his book "The Case for Christ." The new book is "The Case for the Real Jesus." Fundamentalist atheists have been attacking Jesus with renewed vigor, but as usual their claims don't stand up to even simple investigation. This may be Strobel’s best book yet and he successfully refutes pseudoscholars like Bart Ehrman, conspiracy theorists like Michael Baigent and hacks like Dan Brown. Their arguments so poorly stand up to scrutiny it’s almost laughable. Check it out, it has my vote for Book of rhe Year: http://www.amazon.com/Case-Real-Jesus-Journalist-Investigates/dp/031024210X/

This groundbreaking documentary from Dr. Kennedy and Coral Ridge Ministries, looks into the chilling social impact of Darwin's theory of evolution -- and the mounting evidence that Darwin had it wrong on the origin of life. This 60 minute special featuring Ann Coulter, author of Godless; Richard Weikart, author of From Darwin to Hitler, Lee Strobel, author of The Case for a Creator; Jonathan Wells, author of Icons of Evolution; Phillip Johnson, author of Darwin on Trial; Michael Behe, author of Darwin’s Black Box, and Ian Taylor, author of In the Minds of Men will show why evolution is a...
  • Facing the facts as he saw them [Lee Strobel on Christianity, Da Vinci Code, & more]

If you want to debate Christianity with Lee Strobel, you'd better do your homework. The California author brings to conversations the same friendly, fervent tenacity and intelligence that marked his former career as a big-city journalist and his current one as author of 17 books, including "The Case for Faith" and "The Case for Christ." Strobel, who calls himself a multidenominational Christian, has been a hit in the evangelical world, partly because his personal story is so dramatic. In 1981, the Chicago Tribune legal affairs editor jettisoned his adamant atheism and converted to Christianity. In his work since as an...
  • New CIA director ruffles agency (Porter Goss cleaning house 'up to 90 people')

Porter Goss' initial moves as CIA director appear to herald a post-election purge at the already troubled spy agency, according to current and former top U.S. intelligence officials. Goss, a former Republican congressman, has put at least four former Capitol Hill Republican staffers into top positions in his CIA office and has given them broad authority to make personnel and restructuring decisions, the current and former intelligence officials said. One of the aides, whose identity Knight Ridder is not disclosing because he served under cover, has been "going around telling people they are to fire 80 to 90 people" in...
