The content was predictable and the delivery reasonably competent, but the interesting aspect of the speech was the decision to green screen Abrams and project her image onto video of a nebulous audience, which were apparently standing in a studio in another location, giving the broadcast a weird Photoshopped aura. Compounding his mistake, the director kept the audience image blurred, so that they seemed to loom ominously behind Ms. Abrams, freedom-eating zombies waiting to pounce.
