The nine remaining states that were refusing to extend full benefits to troops with same-sex spouses have formerly dropped their opposition. “All military spouses and families sacrifice on behalf of our country,” Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel said in a statement Friday, the Military Times reported. “They deserve our respect and the benefits they are entitled to under the law.”

Now, at first I thought this was a hoax But it appears it isn’t. Apparently a fellow writing into a Jihadi chat show, wants to do “martyrdom operations.” The sheikh he talked to says they’ve got a great new technique to blow up infidels. We hide explosives up your butt. There’s just one hitch. You’ve got to be repeatedly sodomized in order to be able to accommodate the explosive. So, the questioner wants to know if it is permissible for him to be regularly rogered, if doing so makes his posterior more amenable to hiding explosives. The fellow on camera, Shiite cleric Abdallah Al-Khilaf, says that...

Data released last week found that 62 percent of American men who self-reported being HIV-positive said they had unprotected anal sex with a male partner in the last 12 months. The Centers for Disease Control report, “HIV Testing and Risk Behaviors Among Gay, Bisexual and Other Men who have Sex with Men,” noted that the population of men having sex with men (MSM) is a small proportion of the US population; however, this group represents the majority of people diagnosed with HIV. The researchers found that some men attempt to decrease their HIV risk by only engaging in unprotected sex...

Not caring about what happens to gay men is like not caring about prison rape. Prisoners are our brothers, too, and so are gay men. We must care deeply about the abuse of our brothers in prison and we must care deeply about the lives led by our gay brothers. Prison rape seems a world away from us, a subject we try not to think about, yet it is rampant, dehumanizing and deadly dangerous. In the same way, we avert our gaze from the lives led by gay men. Certainly ignoring the lives of gay men is what the paladins...

Book of Gomorrah: An Eleventh-Century Treatise Against Clerical Homosexual Practices. By St. Peter Damian. Translated and edited by Pierre Payer. Wilfrid Laurier University Press. 108 pages. $38.95.By the time he published the Book of Gomorrah around A.D. 1049, St. Peter Damian had been preaching for some time against homosexuality. He told Pope St. Leo IX, to whom he directed this work, that he needed his support against those who despised him for this preaching. While others in authority remained silent, he lamented, homosexuality kept spreading: “Vice against nature creeps in like a cancer and even touches the order of consecrated...

Federal health officials are reporting a sharp increase in unprotected sex among gay American men, a development that makes it harder to fight the AIDS epidemic. The same trend has recently been documented among gay men in Canada, Britain, the Netherlands, France and Australia, heightening concerns among public health officials worldwide. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the number of men who told federal health investigators that they had had unprotected anal sex in the last year rose nearly 20 percent from 2005 to 2011. In the 2011 survey, unprotected sex was more than twice as common...

Your Holiness, It's difficult to know how or where to begin this Open Letter on the necessity of establishing a Papal Commission of Inquiry into Homosexuality, Pederasty, and the "Gay Lobby" in the Catholic Church. But since I must begin somewhere let me start with Question 21 posed to you by Brazilian journalist, Ilze Scamparini, during your first press conference of July 28, 2013 aboard the papal aircraft on route to Rome from World Youth Day in Rio, Here is the reported dialogue between you and Scamparini which touches upon the key topics of this missive:

Robyne O'Mara and Lynne Burnett have been together 33 years, and on Tuesday they watched, almost in awe, as Illinois lawmakers cast votes that would make the couple's decadeslong relationship equal to any other. "We were just blown away," O'Mara said after the General Assembly passed a bill to legalize same-sex marriage. "I think the momentum in our nation has convinced people. It's been an amazing ride the past several years. We're so grateful the legislators took it upon themselves and recognized that every citizen has the right to marry."

The Senate on Monday advanced legislation banning workplace discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity — marking a victory for gay rights supporters despite the bill’s dim House prospects. The measure, known as the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, cleared a key test vote on Monday evening, 61 to 30. The bill appeared to clinch 60 Senate votes — the threshold needed to avoid a filibuster — after Dean Heller (R-Nev.) said he would endorse the bill earlier Monday.

WASHINGTON, D.C., October 31, 2013 (LifeSiteNews.com) – This week saw two same-sex “weddings†performed within the walls of the United States Supreme Court, presided over by Justice Sandra Day O'Connor and Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, respectively. While same-sex “marriage†has been legal in Washington, D.C., since 2009, the federal DOMA law defining marriage as a union between one man and one woman prohibited such ceremonies from being performed on federal property. Ginsburg voted to strike down a provision of DOMA in June. Justice Ginsburg, 80, officiated the first of the two ceremonies last weekend, presiding over the “marriage†of one...

A HANDWRITTEN letter penned by a disgruntled grandfather has proven that not all old folk are out of touch when it comes to equality. The letter was written in response to his daughter, who kicked out his grandson after coming out of the closet. "I'm disappointed in you as a daughter," he wrote. "You're correct that we have a 'shame in the family', but mistaken about what it is." Though details are unclear of the incident, he writes "kicking Chad out of your home, simply because he told you he was gay is the real 'abomination' here. "A parent disowning...

In 2009, Samantha Geimer was watching the daytime talk show "The View" from her then-home in Hawaii when the panel took up the topic of her encounter at age 13 with director Roman Polanski. Polanski had just been arrested in Switzerland, more than three decades after the day in 1977 that changed both their lives. "It wasn't rape-rape," co-host Whoopi Goldberg said, setting off a firestorm of criticism. In fact, it was "rape-rape" by nearly any definition except the charge to which Polanski pleaded guilty (unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor) — the underage Geimer was drugged and verbally resistant,...

Getting fiancé Michael Turchin to say yes to his proposal was easy for Lance Bass, but finding a ring to make it happen was one tough task. "He went to three stores and couldn't find anything," a source tells PEOPLE. "He was frustrated that they don't make men's rings anywhere. He said it's impossible. The fourth store was Saks. He saw a David Yurman ring and he knew that was the one, so he bought it. He said it spoke to him."

A sign outside St. John’s Anglican Church in Canada seems to suggest homosexuality is okay because Jesus had two fathers. The billboard message: “Jesus had two dads and he turned out just fine,” as seen in a photo posted on Reddit. Christian principle teaches that Jesus is the son of God, but was cared for during his 33 years on earth, in part, by his birth mother’s husband, Joseph. Rev. Duncan Lyon’s wife said in a telephone call with The Blaze that the message is in fact posted outside the Niagara Falls, Ontario, church and that the motivation behind the...

We are only a month removed from the Supreme Court decision to strike down Section 3 of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), and President Obama’s Office of Personnel Management is already pushing federal benefits for federal employees who have been legally married to their same-sex wife or husband. In addition, OPA is also extending these benefits to “annuitants” or retired federal employees. What this means is, if you are retired from your federal job and legally marry someone of the same-sex, you are now eligible to receive federal benefits.
