Brazil’s historic meltdown in a semifinal match at FIFA’s 2014 World Cup reached a fevered pitch late in the first half, when fans once again turned on President Dilma Rousseff as the target of their outrage after Germany took a 5-0 lead against the overmatched home team. In a move similar to what happened during the World Cup opening ceremony, Brazilians seated at the stadium started to chant “Hey, Dilma, go get ****ed in the ***!” at about the 40th minute. The chants lasted for about three minutes.

In one of the most shocking World Cup semi-finals ever, Brazil, the host nation, conceded five goals in the first half an hour as they were utterly humiliated on home soil by Germany. A Michigan referee of an adult-league soccer match died Tuesday, two days after being punched in the head by a player, authorities said. John Bieniewicz, 44, died at Detroit Receiving Hospital from injuries suffered in what police said was an unprovoked attack.
