“It is frightening how people’s lives are damaged, I mean, are thrown away,” stated Caddell. “Everybody is roadkill when it comes to their desire to succeed in their goal, which is to beat Kavanaugh, whether it destroys him, his family, whatever — whether the charges are real or spurious. … [This will cause] people to not want to be in public life. Who wants this done to them? All in the name of a political goal.” Caddell described Senate Republicans as acquiescing to partisan pressures from Democrats and Democrats’ news media allies. Caddell The Republicans in the Senate should have...

... There is a phrase for what is happening here: character assassination. Judge Kavanaugh’s good name is being smeared with sexual allegations on the eve of a Supreme Court confirmation vote in a campaign abetted if not orchestrated by Democrats. Dianne Feinstein, the ranking Democrat on the Judiciary Committee, withheld Ms. Ford’s letter from her colleagues for six weeks until she sprung it at the last minute. She has since been demanding a fair and public hearing for Ms. Ford. But on Sunday she leapt on Ms. Ramirez’s claim to demand an “immediate postponement” in the hearing now scheduled for...

The shocking allegations made by Deborah Ramirez against Brett Kavanaugh fell apart in record time, but that hasn't stopped Democrats from seizing on these new allegations to... you guessed it, call for a delay. Recent revelations suggest this was the Democrats' plan all along — that this whole bogus story was concocted by Senate Democrats as Christine Blasey Ford's story fell apart last week.Check out what Ronan Farrow said on Good Morning America earlier today: STEPHANOPOULOS: Why did [Deborah Ramirez] come forward? FARROW: She came forward because Senate Democrats came looking for this claim. She did not flag this. This came...

Attorney Michael Avenatti created even more buzz on Sunday regarding allegations of sexual assault against judge Brett Kavanaugh after not only tweeting that he has a client with “credible information” on President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee and his high school friend Mark Judge, but that these men targeted women to “allow a ‘train’ of men to subsequently gang rape them.” “I represent a woman with credible information regarding Judge Kavanaugh and Mark Judge,” he wrote earlier on Sunday. “We will be demanding the opportunity to present testimony to the committee and will likewise be demanding that Judge and others be...

Ronan Farrow said Monday that Deborah Ramirez came forward with allegations of sexual misconduct against Brett Kavanaugh after Senate Democrats learned independently of the incident in order to “tell her own story before others did for her.” “She came forward because Senate Democrats came looking for this claim. She did not flag this. This came to the attention of people on the hill independently, and it has co cornered her into an awkward position,” Farrow, who detailed Ramirez’s allegation in a Sunday New Yorker article, told ABC’s George Stephanopolos on Good Morning America.“She said, point-blank, I don’t want to ruin...

While allegedly heavily drinking in 1983 at a party when she and Kavanaugh were freshmen at Yale, Ramirez told the New Yorker that she “became inebriated” and “was on the floor, foggy and slurring her words” during the event in question. “Ramirez acknowledged that there are significant gaps in her memories of the evening,” the left-wing magazine explains. “Her memories contained gaps because she had been drinking at the time of the alleged incident.” However, after she had been coached for six days by a lawyer who is a former Democratic local elected official, “Ramirez said that she felt confident...

Is this credible? Hey, would a man who turned a porn star who reneged on a payoff into a paragon of civic virtue lie? Early this morning, Michael Avenatti publicly accused Brett Kavanaugh of running child-care centers in the 1980s where satanic abuse took place. Oh wait, wrong social panic! Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh faced a storm of new sexual misconduct allegations Sunday after attorney Michael Avenatti said he had knowledge that Kavanaugh and high school friend Mark Judge targeted women with drugs and alcohol in order to “allow a ‘train’ of men to subsequently gang rape them.” …...

Democratic leaders and their liberal aides, along with professional agitators, are all intermingled and conspiring together to achieve the same objective — in this case, to spike the confirmation of President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh. Hill Republicans claim Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein engineered the kneecapping of Kavanaugh from both inside and outside Congress — and they have a strong case, though Feinstein insists she merely dealt cards she was handed. For starters, they argue that Feinstein, who is the top Democrat on the Senate committee vetting Kavanaugh, orchestrated an “11th-hour ambush” of the conservative nod by withholding a...

When Donald Trump refers to the anti-Trump media – CNN, MSNBC and network television - as “fake news,” his description is not only accurate but welcome: finally, a conservative is fighting back against a press whose venomous corruption is a grave threat to American pluralism and its democratic order. But when the same “news” outlets falsely characterize political opponents, including the president, as racists and “hatemongers” to render them illegitimate, our democracy is in grave peril. In sum, the term “fake news” greatly understates the nature of the threat, and, along with it, the crisis we are facing as...

Christine Blasey Ford has accused Brett M. Kavanaugh of attempted rape while they were both in high school -- a charge he unequivocally denies. She can't remember the date the alleged attack took place. She isn't even certain about the year (although she reportedly thinks it may have been the summer around the end of her sophomore year when she was 15). She can't remember whose house she was in. She can't remember how she got there. She says she didn't tell anyone about it at the time, not even her closest friends -- so there are no contemporaneous witnesses...

Charles Grassley, the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, and Mitch McConnell, the Senate majority leader, seem determined to call a vote next week on the confirmation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to be an associate justice of the Supreme Court, even in the face of this week’s sexual assault allegations against him. Senate Republicans assume, correctly, that if they can hold the party line, his installation on the Supreme Court is a sure thing. This is certainly true — even if the Democratic caucus in the Senate holds firm against Mr. Kavanaugh, they simply lack the votes to block him....

Democrats want you to believe that what is happening on Capitol Hill in the Kavanaugh nomination is an earnest investigation of an allegation of sexual assault. Make no mistake, it’s a political hit job. With the circus we’re witnessing in Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination hearings, Democrats have politicized sexual harassment and violence against women by holding Republican men accountable for allegations of sexual misconduct - without evidence - while ignoring allegations of sexual harassment and violence against women by high-ranking Democratic men within their own caucus. Democrats will stop at nothing to derail the Trump administration in their...

After the nation was riveted by the Senate testimony of Anita Hill and Clarence Thomas, the Supreme Court nomination came to a vote. Democrats controlled the Senate. Joe Biden had chaired the hearings. And yet Thomas was confirmed, with 11 Democrats joining 41 Republicans to provide the margin of victory (and two Republicans voting against him). That would be inconceivable today. The hyperpartisan nature of today’s politics would never allow so many Democrats to defect in favor of a Republican president's nominee, one who was not only extremely conservative but had faced a last-minute accusation of sexual harassment.

Matthew Dowd, the chief political analyst for ABC News, smeared Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas with a "sexual predator" allegation on Monday. Doing his part to derail Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation to the Supreme Court, Dowd tweeted that America already has one "sexual predator" on the Supreme Court -- meaning Thomas. "It was despicable and outrageous what happened to Anita Hill more than 25 years ago, and a sexual predator was given a lifetime seat on the SC," Dowd wrote. "Let's hope history doesn't repeat itself in 2018."

With less than 48 hours until polls open in the special Senate election, former Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore said in an interview Sunday with "The Voice of Alabama Politics" that he "never molested anyone." "I had no encounter with them," he said. "I never molested anyone, and for them to say that, I don't know why they're saying it, but it's not true."

Without the emergence of new evidence, we will never know if Christine Blasey Ford’s accusation against Brett Kavanaugh is true or not. And there’s nothing Kavanaugh can do or say that will clear his name. If you’re a man, a single uncorroborated account that dates back to 1982 is all your political critics need to accuse you of attempted rape. It’s worth remembering that these Democrat tactics aren’t only meant to sink this nomination — should they end up forcing Kavanaugh to withdraw — but also to damage the credibility of any Supreme Court featuring Trump-nominated (or, let’s be honest,...

Jill Abramson: suffering from Anita Hill flashbacks? The author of the anti-Clarence Thomas book Strange Justice appeared on CNN this morning. Introducing her, Alisyn Camerota said, "you say that you shudder to think what will happen" when Christine Ford is questioned at Monday's scheduled Senate hearing. Replied Abramson: "I think that the Republicans, despite all the changes that have happened in the generations since those [Clarence Thomas] hearings, are still going to go in with a strategy to save this nomination at all costs. And if that means destroying, destroying Dr. Ford, I hate to even think about it, but...

There is this thing called due process, where someone accused of something has a right to defend himself, except liberals don’t like it very much. They sometimes play lip service to it, but only when it has to do with covering for the criminals they consider victims of society. You Normals are “society,” by the way. But regardless, when it is politically useful to let super-convenient accusers trash people from a distance by feeding talking points to eager media allies, forget due process. Allowing someone to effectively challenge fake charges gets in the way of the liberal elite’s ability to...
