Freepers! Marco Rubio is just great and what a sense of humor. This is exactly how to respond to liberal hubris and their synthetic, hibrow, intellect. You need this water bottle if only to get Marco notice from now on. He is going to be Yuge and you need to support him.

SALT LAKE CITY — Ten years after her kidnapping, Elizabeth Smart is preparing her story of being held captive by a homeless street preacher, her improbable rescue after nine months, and how she advocated for children after the ordeal. St. Martin's Press bought the rights to the memoir from the now 25-year-old senior at Brigham Young University. Smart married a fellow Mormon missionary, Matthew Gilmour, in February. The account is being written by Utah Congressman-elect Chris Stewart, who has authored books with religious and patriotic themes. He was elected in November to serve in the 2nd Congressional District, replacing Jim...

This post is written in anger and frustration. Angry that we continue to follow the Republican Party’s elite ignorance. A party that continues to pull defeat from the jaws of victory characterized by pompous fools who fulfill the sterotype built by the left. Frustrated that the reality of politics is this: There will be no third party capable of competing with the coalition constructed by the dems. As a result, true conservatives MUST take steps to irradicate the ignorance of the Republican Party while still adhering to the core values of our forefathers (beliefs that I discovered are considered extreme...

First Lady Michelle Obama was in Omaha, Neb., today for an address to women and girls, aimed at boosting their confidence as advocates for themselves. She also appealed for campaign cash at a fundraiser hosted by Warren Buffet in Omaha, which could be key to President Obama’s re-election. (Snip) Mrs. Obama delivered the keynote speech at an annual luncheon for Girls Inc., a nonprofit advocacy group for which she is an honorary board chair, exhorting the women not to “be afraid to dream big.” “You have to see yourself in a place. You have to be able to see yourself

Israeli officials say they won't warn the U.S. if they decide to launch a pre-emptive strike against Iranian nuclear facilities, according to one U.S. intelligence official familiar with the discussions. The pronouncement, delivered in a series of private, top-level conversations, sets a tense tone ahead of meetings in the coming days at the White House and Capitol Hill. Israeli officials said that if they eventually decide a strike is necessary, they would keep the Americans in the dark to decrease the likelihood that the U.S. would be held responsible for failing to stop Israel's potential attack. The U.S. has been...

A new design for a self-guiding bullet could allow sharpshooters to accurately fire at targets a full mile away. The bullet, which is still in a prototype phase, is the brainchild of Sandia National Laboratories researchers Red Jones and Brian Kast. It is designed with built-in actuators and tiny fins that should allow it to rapidly adjust its path in flight. Designed with the military, law enforcement, and recreational shooters as potential customers, the bullet is four inches long and has an optical sensor embedded in its nose for the detection of a laser on its target, Sandia said in...

County supervisors may take the unprecedented step of banning the local importation, sale or posession of bullfrogs, part of effort to save other amphibians. Bullfrogs are native to the eastern U.S. but have infested local waters such as Antonelli Pond and Loch Lomond, preying on smaller species such as the endangered California Red-Legged Frog. They can also spread disease to native species, and are difficult to eradicate. Based on a recommendation from the county's Fish and Game Advisory Commission, the board voted on Tuesday to consider enacting a ban in February, but also to urge the state to finally enact...

Full-on once every year or two vanity.... I'm officially on the Newt bandwagon. Cain will fade (never considered him Presidential. 'Secretary of Something' definetly. It will come down to Romney and Newt. However, I last contributed to Fred Thompson and he dropped out 5 days later. Here's hoping Newt doesn't stab us in the back. Fingers crossed.

Texas Gov. Rick Perry doesn’t have a reputation as the most scientifically inclined of candidates..... But there’s one kind of science that Perry is willing, even eager, to run on: political science. And that should have his opponents worried. In...“The VictoryLab,” Sasha Issenberg digs deep into Perry’s campaign organization, which he calls “the brainiest political operation in America.” After seven straight wins at the ballot box, Perry’s organization is also among the most fearsome in America. And there’s nothing unscientific about it. In fact, compared with Perry’s organization, every other campaign in America appears in denial of the evidence. The...

This must be more of that smart power we heard so much about… They’re still pooping in buckets but Obama thinks they’re ready to celebrate gay rights. Pakistani radicals called for a holy war after the US Embassy held its first ever gay rights celebration. Under Islamic laws in Pakistan, homosexual acts are punishable by whipping, imprisonment or death. Iran Press News reported: After repeated violation of Pakistani air space, covert activities and military intervention, the US Embassy in Islamabad has arranged the first ever “Gay, Lesbian Bisexual and Transgender Pride Celebration” ceremony and assured Washington’s support to the participants.

(Reuters) - The recovery of Citigroup and Bank of America provided famed hedge fund managers like Lee Ainslie and Jeff Altman some of their biggest gains last year, but now the smart money is getting out while the getting is good. With Ainslie's Maverick Capital, Altman's Owl Creek Asset Management and other major funds backing away from the banking sector in the first quarter, financials suffered the biggest decrease in sector holdings among the Smart Money 30, a group of some of the largest stock-picking hedge funds. Ainslie, Altman and Stephen Cucchiaro's Windhaven Investment Management dumped their entire holdings in...

Elitist Entitlement Syndrome (EES): You know, those people who believe they are smarter than everybody else, and therefore, should be making decisions for everyone. They believe this because they have Ivy League educations and live lives above the rest of us. Some of the smartest people I have ever known never went to college. In fact, some of them never finished high school. And, conversely, people who have degrees are some of the stupidest people...evah!
