Editor's note: Sandra Fluke is a third-year law student at Georgetown University Law Center and has served as president of Georgetown Law Students for Reproductive Justice. (CNN) -- Last month, students from several Catholic universities gathered to send a message to the nation that contraception is basic health care. I was among them, and I was proud to share the stories of my friends at Georgetown Law who have suffered dire medical consequences because our student insurance does not cover contraception for the purpose of preventing pregnancy. I joined these students in speaking at a media event because I believe...

I'm sorry Rush Limbaugh called 30-year-old Georgetown law student Sandra Fluke a "slut." She's really just another professional femme-a-gogue helping to manufacture a false narrative about the GOP "war on women." I'm sorry the civility police now have an opening to demonize the entire right based on one radio comment -- because it's the progressive left in this country that has viciously and systematically slimed female conservatives for their beliefs. We have the well-worn battle scars to prove it. And no, we don't need coddling phone calls from the pandering president of the United States to convince us to stand...

Call University of Florida football players a bunch of classless trash talkers if you want. Call them dirty if you want. But racist? For using the term "cracker"? That seems a stretch.

ATLANTA -- Herman Cain on Monday pre-emptively denied a forthcoming accusation by a woman who is expected to say she had a 13-year affair with the Republican presidential candidate. In an apparent effort to get ahead of the story, Cain appeared in a cable news interview to say the woman is "someone who I know, who is an acquaintance, who I thought was a friend." MyFoxAtlanta.com released some details of the story, which is scheduled to air Monday night, shortly after Cain appeared on CNN -- identifying the accuser as an Atlanta businesswoman named Ginger White. "It was pretty simple,"...

There was a time in American politics when the “race card” was an effective Establishment strategy against arguments it could not refute logically. Regardless of how unrelated an issue may have been to race, the Establishment would try to make a connection in order to avoid confronting the troublesome argument. Alternatively, they might completely ignore the issue at hand and simply present evidence that the proponent himself was racist. So distasteful is racism to most Americans that the mere suggestion that a politician might be racist was enough to condemn any idea, policy, or position he might take, whatever its...

LOS ANGELES -- Atlanta pitching coach Roger McDowell apologized Wednesday in response to a fan's complaint that McDowell spewed homophobic comments, made crude sexual gestures and threatened to knock out his teeth with a bat before the Braves played the San Francisco Giants over the weekend. "I am deeply sorry that I responded to the heckling fans in San Francisco on Saturday," McDowell said in a statement. "I apologize to everyone for my actions."

Video Link Here LONDON (Reuters Life!) – Mexico's ambassador in London has written a furious letter to BBC bosses to complain about "offensive and xenophobic" comments made by presenters of the popular TV motoring show "Top Gear." Ambassador Eduardo Medina Mora was infuriated by "insults" made by presenters Richard Hammond, Jeremy Clarkson and James May during Sunday's episode of the cult show, which has been sold to television channels around the world. "Why would you want a Mexican car? Because cars reflect national characteristics don't they?," said Hammond as they discussed the Mexican sports car, the Mastretta. "Mexican cars...

Students have vowed to protest or block North Carolina State University's Free Expression Tunnel until the university's chancellor gives guarantees that no hate speech will be allowed there. About 40 students painted the tunnel black overnight to protest racist and homophobic graffiti involving President Barack Obama painted there Sunday night. Slurs and the name "Obama" were painted over the picture of a black man. "It's not about the N-word. It's not about Obama. It's about racism, period,"

Harry Reid’s egregiously inappropriate comment from the 2008 campaign that Obama is ”a light-skinned” African-American who “lacked a Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one” is causing quite a stir. But let’s be clear: had any Republican said it, he or she would be chased from office by Monday. But Harry Reid is no Trent Lott and the standards are different for Democrats. (John McCormack points out that even Obama had a different standard in 2002.) In this case, Obama is trying to snuff out the controversy, declaring: "Harry Reid called me today and apologized for an unfortunate comment...

South Africa's Jewish Board of Deputies has lodged a complaint of hate speech with the country's Human Rights Commission against Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Fatima Hajaig of the ruling African National Congress. In remarks tape-recorded during a pro-Palestinian rally outside Johannesburg at the height of the recent fighting in Gaza, Hajaig can be heard saying that "Jewish money" controls the US and other nations. "No matter which government comes into power, whether Republican or Democratic, whether Barack Obama or George Bush, the control of America, just like the control of most Western countries, is in the hands of Jewish money,"...

Muslim students are more likely to get attacked for their religion on the street, in stores and in restaurants than in the public schools, a new study shows. Although more than one in three Muslim students said they had been hit with ethnic slurs in the past year, only one in six said it happened in school. "Sometimes I'll hear something, like, 'Your people are terrorists,'" said Priscilla Mensah, a 16-year-old junior at Brooklyn Technical High School in Fort Greene. "Most people are more informed, and I try not to take it personally." More than 600 students from 90 public...

There they go again. Batting the “L word” and the “G word” about the politosphere. No, not those “L” and “G” words. This column is G-rated. I’m talking, first, about the “L” word being trotted out by the Left, the Obama campaign, and even the mainstream media (a.k.a. the “MSM”) – in multiple languages, no less. “Lie.” The term reared its ugly head in several quarters to describe Sarah Palin’s claim that she “told Congress thanks, but no thanks, to that Bridge to Nowhere.” Well, Palin undoubtedly supported the famous bridge from Ketchikan to its island airport when she ran...

The Australian Open erupted in ugly violence last night as police doused tennis fans with capsicum spray. Panic gripped Margaret Court Arena as spectators gasped for air after coming into contact with the spray. Many ran for the exits and the match had to be stopped. Police used the spray to try to subdue fans of Greek player Konstantinos Economidis who became upset when police tried to evict members of their cheer squad. Police believed they were leading racial chanting against Chile's Fernando Gonzalez. Women and children were also hit by the spray. One woman said she had suffered an...

"JEW MOTHER****ER" AND "N***ER" The Foulmouthed & Lying Clintons by Reinhold Aman, Ph.D. Millions of Americans still admire Bill and Hillary Clinton, whose habitual lies, gutter language, anti-Semitic outbursts, and anti-black slurs have been documented by reliable writers but which have been -- and still are -- routinely suppressed by the so-called liberal media. This article serves to counter and expose that shameless misleading of the public about the true character of America's two supreme actors and how they talk in private. Lest you think I am a Republican, conservative, or member of the imaginary "vast right-wing conspiracy": I am...

A girl who wears an Islamic head scarf says a fellow student at Blaine's Westwood Middle School called her a terrorist. Two other Muslim students say food and milk were thrown at them in the cafeteria. And an assistant principal who talked with a Muslim student about the lunchroom spat allegedly made inappropriate references to Islam. CAIR-Minnesota, a civil rights group, raised the allegations Thursday and asked the school to investigate. The request got a swift reply from Don Helmstetter, superintendent of the Spring Lake Park School District, who called the allegations "serious" and said an investigation began minutes after...
