Watch the video. The above video (transcript below) was translated from a video posted on YouTube on 25 May by a female Kuwaiti activist and former candidate for Kuwaiti parliament, Salwa al-Mutairi, in which she called for a revival of the Islamic law for sex-slaves. Later she was interviewed about this by the Kuwaiti paper al-Siyasa; the translation of a story on that interview from al-Arabiya is also included below the transcript from the video. For more on this story, you can also see the excellent articles posted by Raymond Ibrahim and Nonie Darwish a couple of weeks ago (special...

A couple weeks ago we showed you the shocking video of an Egyptian Muslim cleric advocating jihad and saying financial problems could be solved by selling captives “like groceries.” Now, that same cleric is back, and he’s supposedly claiming his words were taken out of context. But the way he’s defending himself is curious, especially when you consider it involves him justifying buying “sex slaves.” The website Translating Jihad, which first published the earlier video, explains that in the follow-up video (which consists of a 20-minute phone interview), Egyptian Shaykh Abu-Ishaq al-Huwayni contends “that his words in that clip were...
  • Men should be allowed sex slaves and female prisoners could do the job - Kuwaiti WOMAN politician

Men should be allowed sex slaves and female prisoners could do the job - and all this from a WOMAN politician from Kuwait A Kuwaiti woman who once ran for parliament has called for sex slavery to be legalised - and suggested that non-Muslim prisoners from war-torn countries would make suitable concubines. Salwa al Mutairi argued buying a sex-slave would protect decent, devout and 'virile' Kuwaiti men from adultery because buying an imported sex partner would be tantamount to marriage. And she even had an idea of where to 'purchase' these sex-salves - browsing through female prisoners of war in...

The media isn't telling us the truth! The Middle East is in a spiritual battle driven by Islam. Over 500 million youth are unemployed and poor. The battle is being waged in mosques, madrasas, and by mullahs. The center of gravity is the bazaar. Who is fueling this battle? The New Age secular, Liberal Left media in the U.S. run by ideologues from the 1960's revolution is in the forefront. It kills the soul while the body is left to the jihadists. For example, CNN might go to the Palestinian Authority and request they plan their riot at 11:00 a.m....

A Saudi linguist convicted of sexually assaulting a housekeeper and keeping her a virtual slave for four years won a 20-year reduction in his prison sentence Friday, and his defence attorneys hope it means he'll be released from prison soon. District Judge J. Mark Hannen sentenced Homaidan al-Turki to between eight years and life in prison during a hearing Friday in Centennial. Hannen cited al-Turki's good behaviour in prison in cutting the sentence from its original 28 years to life. ... Al-Turki insists he is innocent and a victim of anti-Muslim sentiment. His case has angered Saudi authorities — several...

Authorities detained a Saudi woman on Saturday after she launched a campaign against the driving ban for women in the ultraconservative kingdom and posted a video of herself behind the wheel on Facebook and YouTube to encourage others to copy her. Manal al-Sherif and a group of other women started a Facebook page called "Teach me how to drive so I can protect myself," which urges authorities to lift the driving ban. She went on a test drive in the eastern city of Khobar and later posted a video of the experience. ... Human rights activist Walid Abou el-Kheir said...

TAMPA - The police evidence photo shows Fatima Abdallah's lifeless body on her brother's new Tampa living room floor. She lived there in a gated subdivision, a private investigator says, with three other Muslim families, shunned and divorced because she could not produce children. Conservative activist David Caton says he knows what it was. "This was what you would call an honor killing," he said. Acting on neighbor tips and the private eye's work, Caton, of the Florida Families Association is pushing police to reopen the case, insisting Abdallah died because her family believed she had dishonored them under Islamic...
  • Shariah Law and American State Courts: An Assessment of State Appellate Court Cases

The Center for Security Policy’s report, Shariah Law and American State Courts: An Assessment of State Appellate Court Cases evaluates 50 Appellate Court cases from 23 states that involve conflicts between Shariah (Islamic law) and American state law. These cases are the stories of Muslim American families, mostly Muslim women and children, who were asking American courts to preserve their rights to equal protection and due process. These families came to America for freedom from the discriminatory and cruel laws of Shariah. When our courts then apply Shariah law in the lives of these families, and deny them equal protection,...

“LONDON TALIBAN” WORKING TO IMPOSE SHARIA IN BRITAIN The UK’s Daily Mail reports that the “London Taliban” is working to impose sharia law in parts of Britain and is reportedly issuing death threats to women who refuse to comply with the radical group’s demand that they wear head scarves. While police in London have vowed to pursue Islamic extremists suspected of threatening violence against women, at least one non-Muslim Asian woman doesn’t sound reassured. The 31-year old woman was recently accosted and told to dress more modestly and wear a veil. After she went to the media to expose the...

Subhi Othman, who admitted to stabbing his daughter to death in November last year, was sentenced Monday to 18 years in prison by the district court in Nyköping, south of Stockholm. When police arrived on the scene, they found his daughter lying in the foetal position at the bottom of the stairs. She had been stabbed 53 times. During questioning, Othman claimed he saw no other solution as his daughter was leading what he viewed as an ‘indecent’ lifestyle. The court found that the murder had been premeditated and especially brutal.

A judge in Tampa, Florida is creating a buzz with a ruling some say shows that shariah law is creeping into the U.S. One look at the alleged ruling shows it is suspicious. But is it really an example of shariah “comin’ to America?” According to a document on the website Jihad Watch, Circuit Court Judge Richard A. Nielsen ordered earlier this month that a civil dispute between current and former leaders of a local mosque over who controls funds awarded during a 2008 eminent domain proceeding be decided under “Ecclesiastical Islamic Law.” Below is a copy of the relevant...

Muslims who support Shariah (Islamic) law are planning to march in Washingrton, D.C. on Thursday, March 3 to bring Shariah law “directly to the doorsteps of the United States of America.” The "Shariah4America" march was planned by radical Muslim cleric Anjem Choudary, who in a recent appearance on the Sean Hannity show on Fox News declared Americans to be “the biggest criminals in the world today.” Similarly, Choudary said last October that “the flag of Islam will one day fly over the White House.” Choudary’s assertions have been so extreme that his group, Islam4UK, has been banned from Britain. ...The...

The Thomas More Law Center is again coming to the defense of a wrongfully persecuted Christian. This whole story sounds like something that might happen in another country, but it’s happening right here in the United States. As the Law Center reports, “Standing barely 5 feet tall, 18-year old Negeen Mayel, whose parents escaped from Afghanistan after the Russian invasion, couldn’t escape the clutches of the Dearborn, Michigan Police Department. Her crime: she was a Christian publicly filming her fellow Christian missionaries discussing the Gospel with Muslims at last year’s annual Dearborn Arab Festival, and she didn’t turn off her...

The barbaric Middle Eastern practice of honor killing has made an appearance on our shores. It happens when men murder members of their own family to avenge purported slights against Islam. For instance, Pakistan-born Muzzammil Hassan allegedly beat and then beheaded his wife Aasiya in Buffalo, N.Y. on Feb. 12, 2009. Six days earlier, Aasiya announced her intention to file for divorce and obtained a restraining order. In another example, Iraq-born Faleh-Hassan Almaleki allegedly ran down his 20-year-old daughter Noor with his Jeep Cherokee near their Phoenix home on Oct. 20, 2009. Noor was killed and the mother of her...

The nonprofit group Park51 announced Friday that it had named a new imam to help lead religious programing so that Rauf could focus on other initiatives.
