Call to Action: On Wednesday POTUS Donald Trump did something that seemingly came out of nowhere: He took to Twitter to publicly call for his attorney general, Jeff Sessions, to end the “witch hunt” investigation by special counsel Robert Mueller. In a series of tweets, Trump lambasted his AG — nothing new there — while outlining his ‘case’ for ending the probe. So why did the president chose today to make these allegations and to publicly call on Jeff Sessions to shut down the Mueller probe — when POTUS himself can do it?

Attorney General Jeff Sessions has created a religious liberty task force to “protect and promote religious liberty.” Speaking from the Justice Department in Washington, Sessions said the task force, which he will chair, is to help implementation of the religious liberty memo he signed in October. That 25-page memo outlines 20 guiding principles that federal agencies can use to protect religious liberty in employment, contracting and “Freedom of religion has been a core American principle from the very beginning of our country — indeed, it is our ‘first freedom,’” Sessions said Monday. “President Trump promised that he would make preserving...

U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions came to Boston yesterday to throw a spotlight on what he called “theft from America” by 25 mostly illegal immigrants charged with massive government fraud that’s being blamed on shoddy oversight by the Registry of Motor Vehicles. “Operation Double Trouble” accounted for $200,000 in heisted Medicare, unemployment and public housing benefits. One of the suspects, the feds said, is a convicted killer who escaped from prison in Puerto Rico. “Across this city and across America, teachers, truck drivers, construction workers are going to work and paying taxes that are being stolen from the public treasury...

U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions defended his top deputy Thursday after a handful of congressional Republicans moved this week to impeach him. Speaking in Boston, Sessions said he has the "highest confidence" in Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and described him as "highly capable" when asked about the impeachment effort. A group of 11 House conservatives on Wednesday introduced articles of impeachment against Rosenstein, who oversees special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation because Sessions has recused himself.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions defended his second-in-command Rod Rosenstein on Thursday, after House lawmakers introduced an impeachment resolution against him late Wednesday. “My deputy, Rod Rosenstein, is highly capable. I have the highest confidence in him,” Sessions said during a speech in Boston. A group of Trump-aligned Republicans in the House on Wednesday introduced articles of impeachment to remove him. Rosenstein, who was appointed by Trump, currently oversees special counsel Robert Mueller, who is investigating Russian interference in the 2016 election and possible connections to the Trump campaign. “What I would like Congress to do is to focus on some...

College campus culture should be fair game for criticism. After all, college is very expensive and in many circles considered a compulsory rite of passage for young people. More and more we hear stories of speakers being shut down by student protesters amid sometimes violent actions. Speakers running the political gamut from Ben Shapiro to Alan Dershowitz have been on the receiving end of angry mobs.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions delivered a blistering attack on campus culture in front of a group of conservative high school students on Tuesday, saying that colleges are creating a generation of “supercilious snowflakes.” “Rather than molding a generation of mature, well-informed adults, some schools are doing everything they can to create a generation of sanctimonious, sensitive, supercilious snowflakes,” Sessions said during a speech at Turning Point USA's High School Leadership Summit in Washington. Sessions focused much of his address on railing against what he called the suppression of free speech on college campuses and hostility against conservative students. He added...

For all of us wondering what has happened to Jeff Sessions, perhaps he’s being kept in the DOJ’s figurative attic and whenever “he” needs to appear in public, Rosenstein appears in his disguise. The shower scene is a metaphor for the DOJ/FBI attack on the constitutional republic as a newly minted fourth, independent branch of government and the bodies to be hauled out of the “swamp” are the Deep State skeletons they’ve been concealing.
  • Why Won't Trump Fire Sessions and Rosenstein?

After hearing today that A.G. Jeff Sessions did not know if FBI Peter Strzok still has a top security clearance (apparently--incredibly--he still does), and seeing how untrustworthy Deputy A.G. Rosenstein is, I can't take it anymore. So my question is, why hasn't President Trump fired Sessions and Rosenstein yet? I can at least a little bit understand not firing Mueller, since he essentially has the President under investigation, but there's no such "conflicts" with Sessions and Rosenstein. Can someone help me with this? I really want to know.

WASHINGTON — Rod J. Rosenstein, the deputy attorney general, has asked federal prosecutors to help review the government documents of Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh, President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, according to a letter obtained by The New York Times on Wednesday. Mr. Rosenstein’s request was an unusual insertion of politics into federal law enforcement. While the Justice Department has helped work on previous Supreme Court nominations, department lawyers in Washington typically carry out that task, not prosecutors who pursue criminal investigations nationwide. But in an email sent this week to the nation’s 93 United States attorneys, Mr. Rosenstein asked each...
