Even the bestselling novelist in the world isn’t being spared woke rewrite treatments to spare the delicate sensitivities of modern readers, with Agatha Christie’s works getting the full treatment from her publisher. Christie is famous for creating such timeless sleuths as Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple, and the Daily Telegraph reports new editions based on both these investigators have had original passages amended or excised by publisher Harper Collins.

Bats, as scary as they are to some, are one of the more useful mammals in creation. The diets of those species common in Pennsylvania consist of mosquitoes and other insect pests including the ones that damage crops. A colony of 100 brown bats can consume of a quarter-million insects in a single night. Science magazine has estimated the pest control service provided by bats can save farmers about $74 per acre. Well, the unattractive wind turbines built at the hectoring of the nature worshipers who've managed to convince most that they are the arbiters of all dogma scientific are...

The Obama administration told CNSNews.com Thursday that it is currently in the process of procuring solar panels to place on the White House roof but it cannot discuss the progress on the project because of "sensitivities." “The solar installations on the residence will be part of a Department of Energy project to demonstrate American solar energy technology and know-how,” DOE Spokeswoman Jen Stutsman told CNSNews.com in an e-mail. “The project will show that American solar technology is available, reliable, and ready to install in homes throughout the country.”

The republic would seem to be in good health, if not sound mind, when hurt feelings and public embarrassment are the picadors of public passion. The past few weeks have provided a surfeit of sensitivity challenges: -- A group of ``lactivists'' staged a nurse-in to protest an airline's insensitivity to a breast-feeding mom. - Two African-American men hired a lawyer to sweeten an apology they're demanding from a racist, epithet-hurling comedian.

Abdullah Badawi, Malaysia's prime minister, "says a huge chasm has opened between the West and Islam, fuelled by Muslim frustrations over Western foreign policy," according to the BBC, in a story about the Mohammed caricatures. The Beeb claims that Abdullah is "promoting a moderate form of Islam," but his anti-democratic actions prove otherwise. Au contraire, Mr. Abdullah, it is your seething, Muslim masses that are the cause of this "chasm." Again, the BBC: As he spoke at a conference in Kuala Lumpur, thousands protested outside at Western cartoons of Prophet Muhammad. ... "Long live Islam. Destroy Denmark. Destroy Israel. Destroy...

A few weeks ago, Jerry Seper at The Washington Times wrote a well researched three part series titled: "FREE PASS: America's losing fight against illegals."[1] It is still there for anyone interested in catching up on the topic. Last week, Seper struck yet again, this time describing the "Limits sought on Border Patrol" agents. According to Seper: "The Department of Homeland Security wants to restrict the U.S. Border Patrol's arrest of illegal aliens in the nation's interior, concerned that the recent apprehension of 450 illegals by agents in inland areas of Southern California failed to consider the 'sensitivities' of those...
