Portland police early Thursday responded to a report of a break-in in which a home's resident fired a gun at the burglar. The burglar ran when someone living in the home fired a gun. The accused burglar was later found in a vacant residence in the 2700 block of Northwest Pettygrove Street. The burglar was arrested and taken to a Portland hospital for treatment of a condition unrelated to the incident.
